It seems that the release of the Apple Watch Series 3 is not as smooth as Apple would like it to be. The first negative reactions came with the first reviews, when reviewers complained about the LTE connection not working (some even despite the new pieces they received for review). The same problem also appeared for some users from the US who could not activate their Apple Watch or could not connect to the LTE data network. Apparently, Apple still hasn't fixed this issue, despite the watchOS update that arrived last week.

A significant number of Apple Watch Series 3 owners from Great Britain complain that they cannot activate the LTE functionality on their watches at all. The eSIM feature required for this is currently only supported by one operator in the UK.

He issued a statement that if users are unable to get data on their watches, they should contact them. For some users, this is simply an activation issue that will be resolved by just waiting, but others have issues that apparently don't have a reliable solution yet.

There is more than fifty pages on the website of the operator EE thread, in which users decide what and how to proceed. So far, a procedure has emerged that is somewhat tedious, but should work. However, it requires a lot of resetting, unpairing the watch with the phone and talking to the operator. It seems that even in the UK, the Apple Watch Series 3 launch is not as smooth as many would imagine. It can be seen that there is still a lot to learn in this regard (eSIM support).
