Apple just released iOS 6.0.1. This is a minor update that mainly brings bug fixes – it improves the reliability of the iPhone and iPod touch 5th generation connection on some Wi-Fi networks, prevents the display of horizontal lines on the keyboard or improves the behavior of the camera.

A slightly more complicated update process than we are used to awaits iPhone 5 owners. Before updating to iOS 6.0.1, they must first download and install the Updater application, which fixes the error with the wireless installation of the latest operating system, and requires a restart phone, and only then will it be possible to install the update in the classic way.

iOS 6.0.1 includes the following improvements and bug fixes:

  • Fixed a bug that prevented iPhone 5 from installing software over the air
  • Fixed a bug that could cause horizontal lines to appear on the keyboard
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the camera flash not to fire
  • Increasing the reliability of iPhone 5 and iPod touch (5th generation) on WPA2 encrypted Wi-Fi networks
  • Addresses an issue that prevented iPhone from using the cellular network in some cases
  • Consolidation of the Use Cellular Data switch for iTunes Match
  • Fixed a bug in Code Lock that in some cases allowed access to Passbook ticket details from the lock screen
  • Fixed a bug that affected meetings in Exchange
