Apple just released iOS 6.0.1. This is a minor update that mainly brings bug fixes – it improves the reliability of the iPhone and iPod touch 5th generation connection on some Wi-Fi networks, prevents the display of horizontal lines on the keyboard or improves the behavior of the camera.
A slightly more complicated update process than we are used to awaits iPhone 5 owners. Before updating to iOS 6.0.1, they must first download and install the Updater application, which fixes the error with the wireless installation of the latest operating system, and requires a restart phone, and only then will it be possible to install the update in the classic way.
iOS 6.0.1 includes the following improvements and bug fixes:
- Fixed a bug that prevented iPhone 5 from installing software over the air
- Fixed a bug that could cause horizontal lines to appear on the keyboard
- Fixed an issue that could cause the camera flash not to fire
- Increasing the reliability of iPhone 5 and iPod touch (5th generation) on WPA2 encrypted Wi-Fi networks
- Addresses an issue that prevented iPhone from using the cellular network in some cases
- Consolidation of the Use Cellular Data switch for iTunes Match
- Fixed a bug in Code Lock that in some cases allowed access to Passbook ticket details from the lock screen
- Fixed a bug that affected meetings in Exchange

It's great how the wheels in the icon start spinning ;)
I liked that too :)
there is still no fix for the error that displays empty headers from google email?
2nd SIM from O2 and mobile data still does not work even after updating to iOS 6.0.1
There was no reboot on the iP5 after running the Updater... :)
After installing the update, my facebook app stopped working - iPhone 5 and iPad 2 :-(
The FB app started crashing on my ip5 and then the fw update didn't go through.
I don't know - I had account restrictions turned on. After unlocking, entering the password and relocking everything seems ok. I have no idea if that had anything to do with it.
Great, after updating the Ipad tri, I put it in recovery mode and I can restore data via PC :(((
when updating, IP4S keeps telling me that it can't be installed - unknown error (-1) and the phone needs to be restored from a backup... but when I restore it wants to download and install the latest update which gives me that error...
You have to put it in DFU mode
Both iP5 and iPadNew work
thanks, we had it set exactly like this, but a reset also helped (but not the one in mobile data):
Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset site settings
It's just a shame that it doesn't solve the maps...
Wi-Fi still not working on 2ghz on ipad5. Damage.
So I seem to have overcome the problem. I suspect it always ended up on Apple's overloaded servers being unable to respond when uploading the firmware. But the devil knows... This morning it was normal recovery, most likely because America is already sleeping.
Great update!! On the iP5, the flash runs like clockwork and so far I'm seeing a fairly solid increase in battery life, is this possible?
Don't you know what I should do if my flash usually doesn't start even after the update?
