Apple has released iOS 16. After months of waiting, we have finally seen the release of the long-awaited version of the iOS operating system to the public, which is now available to all Apple users. So let's quickly summarize the most important information about installation, compatibility and news.
How to install iOS 16
First of all, let's shed some light on how to actually install the newly introduced system. If you have a compatible iPhone (see below), just open it Settings > In general > Software update, where the system will automatically offer you the latest version and the option to download and then install it. On the other hand, we must point out one important thing. Immediately after the release of systems, countless Apple users will try to update, which can understandably overload Apple's servers. It is therefore necessary to expect a slower download. Of course, this will return to normal after a while. The second option is to simply wait and let the iPhone update overnight, for example, when the rush may not be as great as immediately after the update is released.
iOS 16 compatibility
You can install the new iOS 16 operating system on all newer iPhones. But if you own an older iPhone 7, then you're unfortunately out of luck and will have to make do with iOS 15. You can see the full list of supported Apple phones here:

For me, the most important new feature that hasn't been talked about anywhere is unlocking with Face ID in lying mode. iPads have been able to do it for a long time, only iPhones couldn't do it for incomprehensible reasons, and suddenly it works. Finally.
The news is great, but the installation threw my memoji. My "head" now looks like a sunroof and in some expressions the eyes have disappeared, so it's quite creepy :-DA what I don't like is that the incoming notifications appear from the bottom of the screen - is there anything I can do about it?
Also, with some (mainly picture) wallpapers on your desktop, do you see a shadow under the names of the applications? No instructions on how to remove it?
"Living text now recognizes text in Japanese, Korean and Ukrainian." Well, that's great, Japanese can be learned once or twice, but the stupid hook to make Czech work is a problem.
Face ID doesn't work for me.
