Today, Apple introduced the new iPad Pro with a faster A12Z Bionic chipset, a new keyboard that includes a trackpad, a LIDAR scanner, and an ultra-wide-angle camera. Trackpad support will also come to older iPads in the iPadOS 13.4 update.

The new iPad has several major innovations. The new A12Z Bionic chipset is said to be faster than most processors in Windows laptops, according to Apple. It handles video editing in 4K resolution or designing 3D objects without any problems. The chipset is composed of an eight-core processor, an eight-core GPU, and there is also a special Neural Engine chip for AI and machine learning. As for the battery, Apple promises up to 10 hours of work.

On the back, you'll notice a new 10MPx camera, which is ultra wide-angle, and improved microphones – there are five in total on the iPad's body. Of course, there is also a classic wide-angle camera, which has 12 MPx. One of the main innovations is the addition of a LIDAR scanner, which will help improve depth of field and augmented reality. It can measure the distance from surrounding objects up to five meters. For example, Apple presents a LIDAR sensor for the ability to quickly measure the height of people.

Trackpad support has long been rumored for iPads. Now the feature has finally been officially announced. A completely new way of controlling and interacting with iPads will be available in the iPadOS 13.4 update. What's interesting is Apple's approach, where instead of copying from MacOS, the company instead decided to build support for the iPad from the ground up. However, there are multitouch gestures and the ability to control the entire system without having to use the touch screen. Everything can be controlled with a trackpad or a mouse. For the time being, Apple lists support only for the Magic Mouse 2 on its website. However, other touchpads and mice with Bluetooth will be supported.

A keyboard named Magic Keyboard was introduced directly with the new iPad Pro. On it, you can notice not only the small trackpad, but also the unusual design. Thanks to this design, the iPad can be tilted to different angles, similar to what we know from laptops. The keyboard also has a backlight and one USB-C port. As for the displays, the new iPad Pro will be available in 11- and 12,9-inch sizes. In both cases, it is a Liquid Retina display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The price of the new iPad Pro starts at CZK 22 for an 990-inch display with 11GB of storage and CZK 128 for a 28-inch display with 990GB of storage. In both cases, there is a choice of gray and silver color, Wi-Fi or Cellular version and up to 12,9TB of storage. The highest version of the iPad Pro will cost CZK 128. Availability is planned from March 1.

The price of the Magic Keyboard starts at CZK 8 for the 890-inch version. If you plan to buy the 11-inch version, you have to pay CZK 12,9. However, this keyboard will not go on sale until May 9.
