This includes the main one, i.e. support for Spatial Audio with compatible AirPods. Initially, the details were unclear, but now the company has finally explained how the feature will work on tvOS 15.
Spatial Audio was first introduced last year as part of iOS 14 for AirPods Pro and AirPods Max users. When you enable this option, the headphones detect the movement of your head and, thanks to Dolby technologies (5.1, 7.1 and Atmos), provide immersive 360-degree sound, whether you're watching a movie, listening to music, or playing games.

In iOS, Spatial Audio uses special sensors to track the movement of the user's head and also detect the position of the iPhone or iPad to create the feeling that the sound is coming directly from them. But it was not possible on Mac computers or Apple TV due to the lack of these sensors. The headset simply did not recognize where the device was located. However, with tvOS 15, as well as macOS Monterey, Apple has been working on a new way to enable this feature.

As he told Apple magazine Engadget, the AirPods system with their sensors now analyzes the direction the user is looking and locks it if they are still. However, if the user starts to change his location with respect to the original direction, the system will recalculate the position with respect to him to enable listening to surround sound again.

tvOS 15 also makes it easier to connect the AirPods themselves to the Apple TV smart box. This is because it now recognizes the headphones nearby and displays a pop-up window on the screen asking if you want to pair them with the device. There's also a new toggle in the tvOS 15 Control Center to easily access settings for AirPods and other Bluetooth headsets without opening the Settings app.

The information simply has to come from somewhere, and it's probably difficult for Apple to pass it on directly to us, to the small Czech Republic.
