Apple Watch could bring great gadgets in the future

Another layer of security in the form of Touch ID

Nowadays, so-called smart wearable products, which include, for example, smart watches, are very popular. Apple enjoys enormous popularity with its apple watch, which provides its user with a considerable amount of various functions and can thus facilitate his daily life. It is quite interesting to look at the development of this Apple Watch. Over the last few years, we have seen great functions, of which we must not forget to mention fall detection, irregular heartbeat notification, ECG sensor, measurement of oxygen saturation in the blood and the like. But according to the latest information, we could expect another amazing news.

Patently Apple magazine, which focuses on finding patents registered by Apple, has discovered another great one registration, according to which a Touch ID biometric authentication scanner could be included in the Apple Watch. As such, the patent is registered with the relevant authority in the United States and describes how this feature could be integrated into the side button. We don't even have to think about the reason afterwards. This is because the Apple Watch still relies on a single layer of security, which is the security code. Subsequently, the watch does not ask for it from you, that is, until you take it off your wrist. The implementation of Touch ID would increase security, which can come in handy, for example, for Touch ID contactless payments and the like.

The implementation itself is incredibly similar to the system found on the latest iPad Air (fourth generation from 2020), where Touch ID is hidden in the top power button.

Will a camera arrive on the Apple Watch?

AppleInsider magazine also noticed another very interesting patent. This is marked as "Electronic devices with two-stage display,” which we can translate as Electronic devices with a two-stage display. This publication reveals to us how the display itself could be laid out in layers, thanks to which the camera would be hidden inside it along with the flash and would only be visible when we needed it. This kind of technology could theoretically be transferred to Apple phones as well, thus ridding them of the rather harshly criticized cutout.

Everything would work on a certain layering of the pixel array to display images, where certain layers could become transparent at one point, or block light completely. Some points could then be placed in a way that would allow the mentioned camera to work. Another benefit is that each layer could behave slightly differently. Thanks to this, we could have, for example, a more advanced layer for displaying videos and various animations, while the other one would serve to display static objects (images and text), which would result in significantly better battery life.

In addition, we recently informed you about a very interesting podcast with Apple CEO Tim Cook himself, who talked about the future of the Apple Watch. Apple is currently testing incredible features in its labs, and we are said to have a lot to look forward to.

Apple is preparing a new Apple TV for next year

Practically since the beginning of this year, there have been rumors about the arrival of a new generation of Apple TV. Several sources came up with this information and there were even mentions of the successor in the code of the iOS 13.4 operating system. Today, the website Nikkei Asia Review made itself heard with current news, which talked about the upcoming products. So next year we would be out of the new Apple TV, while at the same time work is underway on more advanced Apple computers such as the 16″ MacBook Pro and iMac Pro.
