The iPhone X will be available for pre-order next week, with owners receiving the first units a week after that. The first lucky ones will enjoy Face ID for the first time already on Friday, November 3. However, there is one catch. You'll have to be quite the crowd to be among the lucky few, as there won't be many iPhone Xs. In the last twenty-four hours, several reports have appeared on the web, which do not speak very optimistically about the availability.

Just last week we wrote that Foxconn is managing to start production at a level they can be satisfied with. However, a fortnight before the start of global sales is too late. So it is not too surprising when information appeared that on the first day of sales, i.e. November 3, Apple will have only three million units of phones physically available, with the fact that three million is rather at the upper limit of what will Apple actually have. Three million pieces worldwide.

According to behind-the-scenes information provided by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who is not wrong in most cases, there have been several other issues that are delaying production. After the manufacturing defects of the components for the front TrueDepth camera were eliminated, another problem appeared. Now there is a stock of printed connections that are used in the module for the phone's antennas.

The production process of this particular component is also quite demanding and only two manufacturers in the world can provide it with sufficient quality. However, Apple had to abandon one of them due to production-related problems. There are not enough components, which delays the assembly of the phone. However, in this particular case, this should be a short-term problem that should disappear within a few weeks once a sufficient supply of parts can be produced. However, we do not expect the ideal availability of the iPhone X until the end of the year.
