Also, remember the days when all video games were only played on special arcade machines that were in every major city? In one of the games played on such machines, the player had the task of hitting moles with a rubber hammer as they jumped out of their burrows in different ways. Quite entertaining, especially for small children.

This idea was apparently inspired by the developers from Mattel in their Whac-A-Mole game, which became this week's App Store App of the Week. The game is very simple and is intended more for children's players, but it can also please adult users. Your main task in each mission is to hit all the moles that jump out of the ground or cross the path with a hammer. For this purpose, one finger and a little attention are more than enough. In addition to the classic hammer, you can use dragging your finger to the right or left to literally throw the mole off the screen, slow down time or use a bomb to hit multiple moles at once.

Of course, the game also includes scoring in the form of points and collecting money, for which you will receive one to three stars at the end of each mission, which will be useful for unlocking the final task. So, as with all similar games, it always pays to have as many coins as possible at the end of each level, which will give you the full number of stars. You can influence this by using different combinations of attacks for accuracy or speed when attacking crazy moles. In the basic version, Whac-A-Mole offers more than twenty levels, which are gradually unlocked in the interactive map.

The environment of the game takes place mainly in different gardens or in a tunnel. In terms of design, it is clear that Whac-A-Mole is tailored for children's players and is not complicated at all. Each level has a similar environment that you will literally fly through and moles will jump out at you during your flight. You have to hit them and at the same time relentlessly pound the rabbit at the end of each round and try to blow as many gold coins out of it as possible. The game doesn't offer much more.

Whac-A-Mole is of course riddled with in-app purchases, which lie in wait for users not only in the classic form of advertisements and bargain purchases, but also video trailers for other games. From a game concept point of view, I think there are a lot more ideas and features that could be used in the game. Overall, I finished Whac-A-Mole in half an hour. On the other hand, it is necessary to realize that the game is created for children, for whom it will certainly take much more time to finish the entire game.
