Do you like tofu? Definitely not me, but logically an action game To Fu Fury I quite liked it. The game is the responsibility of the people from Amazon Game Studios, who have already managed quite well with titles of the type Lost within or Tales From Deep Space. To-Fu Fury has also been noticed by the folks at Apple and included the game in the App of the Week section for this week. The game can be downloaded for free in the App Store.
By no means do you need to be a vegetarian to play To-Fu Fury. The protagonist of this puzzle game is a tofu-shaped Japanese ninja who you must safely navigate through intricate traps in over seventy rounds. In each level, the developers prepared various traps, gears, opponents and bosses.
You can use several moves to safely pass a given level. The game is partially designed as a turn-based game, so every move you make counts in the final total. You can plan all movements in advance, which you will certainly appreciate in more advanced levels, where everything has to be done like clockwork.
With the hero, all you have to do is aim where you want to go (or rather fly) and the tofu ninja will shoot out. You can also use two-finger scrolling that you press on the display. The offer also includes a classic parachute or various pushing and sliding obstacles by pulling out a tofu ninja. In short, the controls are very similar to Angry Birds, including a pre-planned flight trajectory.
During each round, not only the number of moves and the time are recorded, but also how many blue marbles you have collected, more precisely qi, which in the traditional Chinese concept denotes vital force. You also have to hit a big heart at the end of each round, which keeps you progressing.
To-Fu Fury initially offers very easy levels that you can master on the left rear. Later, however, various shifting platforms, gears, obstacles, cracks or some other main villain will be added.
Normally the game is around two euros, so I highly recommend not to miss the chance to get this game for free. At the same time, To-Fu Fury is compatible with all iOS devices. Of course, the game also includes various bonus missions, improvements and in-app purchases, which you can easily do without. The game can be played to a successful end even without their help.
