Have you ever tried to imagine what it would be like to just float freely through the infinite universe? Do nothing and just let yourself drift? Now you have the opportunity to relate to the little protagonist of the game Time Surfer. It can be downloaded for free in the App Store as part of this week's App of the Week.
Developers from the Kumobius studio have come up with an endless game in which you and the main character slide along the waves of space and try to get as far as possible. You can choose from four fantastic worlds in which you can try your luck. Time Surfer is very easy to use, you can practically use one thumb. The principle of the game is to constantly accelerate and not let your character stop completely.
To do this, you have to catch the downward wave at the right moment and press the upper right half of the screen at that moment. Subsequently, your hero accelerates and glides much further. Of course, you will learn everything in the practical tutorial. If you happen to miss a wave, nothing happens, you can try it right away on the next one. In case of a carom, there's also a rewind button that will take you back a few steps based on the amount of energy you've achieved, and you can try again.
Time Surfer is literally riddled with various gadgets, bonuses, tasks and all kinds of enhancements that you can try. In addition to special balloons that recharge your energy for time travel, you also collect pieces of pies that serve as imaginary money in the game. With these you can buy various improvements, suits or effects for your hero.
The entire game is tuned in retro pixel graphics, which pleasantly underlines the entire game experience. Personally, I like the game very much for its simplicity, and when you need to switch off for a while, you just have to choose a world and let yourself drift on the waves. Thanks to Time Surfer, you literally jump through different universes and worlds. Of course, there are various traps waiting for you on the way, such as asteroids, black holes, bombs and many other objects that try to stop you. Of course, the further you get, the better your score will be.
Time Surfer is compatible with all iOS devices, and the game also includes in-app purchases to facilitate your gameplay. The game itself is then available for free download in the App Store. Fingers crossed that you catch the right wave and game flow.
