There is nothing to be surprised at all, as we can see more and more programs and special TV channels about cooking on TV. Various celebrities and well-known personalities, including the presenters themselves, try to prepare the food. So it goes without saying that the trend of cooking and food preparation is also receiving attention in the technical world in various culinary-oriented applications.
The Photo Cookbook – Quick & Easy is this week's App of the Week free download. As the name itself suggests, it is a pictorial interactive cookbook in which you will find various recipes for interesting dishes. The application is very easy to use and very clear. Let's see what it can do.
After starting the application, excellently processed photos of various dishes will appear, which directly speak of tasting or direct consumption. The rule that we also eat food with our eyes applies doubly here. In the application, in the top bar, you will find various tabs hiding the menu of two international cuisines and one item for baking and desserts. After clicking on the relevant tab, you will again see photos of various dishes from Italian and Asian cuisine, recipes for baking or for quick and easy meals.
Subsequently, right below the bar, you will see variously focused columns of dishes, in which you can comfortably browse and scroll upwards. After opening any dish, a complete step-by-step recipe will be displayed, including accompanying photos and the necessary ingredients. I would like to stop for a moment precisely at the item of raw materials, because here I really like the function of information offered by each depicted raw material. Simply click on a raw material, such as the meat required for a given dish, and you will immediately see a table with a detailed description of the raw material, including characteristics, the destination where it is typically used, or other interesting information. Simply put, very efficient and clear when I want to learn something extra.
The Photo Cookbook – Quick & Easy also has a few other useful functions. With a few buttons, you can easily share the selected recipe by e-mail, and even more useful for cooks is the option to write their own notes for each recipe. This can be very useful when cooking a given recipe repeatedly. At the same time, you can save your favorite recipes to your favorites in the application and find out the nutritional value of meals.
The application will be welcomed by all users who like culinary experiments or discovering new dishes and preparation methods. In the application, you will find meals that you can easily prepare from our ingredients available in every major supermarket. A significant disadvantage of the entire application is the language barrier, as the application is completely in English, including the recipes, but on the other hand, there are very nicely processed photos, from which it is clear at first glance what the ingredients are. If you do not know the English vocabulary, you will need a dictionary.
When browsing individual recipes and cuisines, you will also come across dishes that you cannot open, as the application contains in-app purchases in the form of purchasing additional recipes for individual cuisines - whether it is Italian, Asian or baking, the price is always the same: 2,69, €XNUMX for the whole package. Even so, you will find everything in the application, dozens of very interesting recipes that can appeal to you or inspire you. The app is compatible with all iOS devices. I have nothing left but to wish you good taste and pleasant experiences when preparing these dishes.
