Filip Brož Spongebob is a cheerful, playful, square and yellow sea sponge who lives in the underwater city of Bikini Still Life. Most of us know her mainly from the television screen from the series of the same name and several films. They first appeared in the Czech Republic in 2009, and since then the yellow mushroom has found many fans. It is therefore not surprising that this phenomenon has gradually penetrated computers, game consoles, and several titles can also be found in the App Store.
For this week, Apple has chosen probably the most successful and played Spongebob title, namely Moves In, which he released completely free of charge. The main purpose of the game is to build an underwater town and similar to the game The Simpsons: Tapped Out perform various tasks and take care of overall satisfaction.
In the game SpongeBob Moves In, you will meet the same characters as in the series. There is also Spongebob's faithful friend Patrick the starfish, Mr. Krabs's restaurant, Cuttlefish and Garry the snail. As in any building game, you literally start with nothing and over time you can build a fairly prosperous town.
At the same time, each character fulfills a certain role and controls a certain ability. Similarly, individual buildings produce different raw materials or perform different types of activities. Your task is to gradually put everything into operation. From the beginning, you will perform trivial tasks, most often related to food and the preparation of various dishes. In addition, you grow vegetables or bake bread, for example. The characters will constantly ask you for something, and within a few hours of playing, your town will be buzzing.
Of course, the game also has its own currency and countless user enhancers and accelerators. SpongeBob Moves In takes place in real-time, so even building buildings and completing tasks require some time and patience.
From a gameplay point of view, the game does not introduce some miraculous new concept, but it is still an interesting effort. There are various bonus sections and thematic videos in the game. From a design point of view, I especially appreciate sharp and clear colors, including detailed processing. It's obvious that the developers at Viacom played with the game, and the animation studio and TV channel Nickelodeon certainly played a part. The game also features a number of in-app purchases and the game is compatible with all iOS devices. SpongeBob Moves In will probably be most appreciated by fans of the series and lovers of building games.
