As the name suggests, Matter – Add 3D Objects to Photos is another of the many photography apps that is primarily designed for photo editing. Matter has been selected as the app of the week for this week and is therefore available for free download in the App Store.

Matter is a simple application that adds various 3D objects and geometric shapes to your photos. Control is very easy. After launching the app, you can choose to use a picture from the gallery or take a new one. There is also a page with ready-made photos where you can be inspired by other users.

Once you have selected a photo, you can adjust the size or otherwise crop the image to the desired composition. Subsequently, the modifications themselves come. Basically you can choose from two packages of 3D objects. Others can be purchased as part of in-app purchases.

Among the 3D objects you will find various cubes, spirals, corkscrews, imitation precious stones, pyramids, spheres and many others. In the same way, you can continue to edit each shape at will, i.e. reduce or move the image, adjust the color, add shadows and change different styles. To do this, you can use gestures that you know from controlling iOS devices, such as zooming with two fingers. You can export the finished image to Instagram and other social networks.

You might be thinking right now that Matter doesn't really offer anything new, and there are plenty of similar apps in the App Store. However, the opposite is true as I really like the added video creation feature of this app. It is enough if you have already edited the photo, i.e. added some geometric shape and click on the video tab in the top menu. You can immediately notice that the selected shape will start to move. Of course, you can adjust, speed up or otherwise highlight the movement. Finally, you can also add music or change the quality of the video.

The result can be, for example, a photo of a landscape where some object rotates and pleasant music plays along with it. You can save the finished video in Pictures and work with it again as you like.
