When Apple introduced the revolutionary iPhone X in 2017, which offered Face ID instead of the iconic Home button with Touch ID fingerprint reader, it caused a lot of emotions. Apple users have practically divided into two camps, that is, those who perceive the change as a great progress, and those who, on the other hand, miss the convenient unlocking of the phone by placing a finger. However, Face ID brought with it one more huge advantage. Of course, we are talking about the display across the entire surface, which is literally a must for flagships these days. But the story of the convenient Touch ID fingerprint reader certainly does not end here.

Since then, apple growers have called for her return many times. There have even been several different talents that have hinted at the ongoing development of a reader built under the display, which would make it possible for there to be no compromises on the display side. In addition, the competition was able to come up with something similar a long time ago. A popular leaker and Bloomberg journalist, Mark Gurman, came up with quite interesting information, according to which it was even now being considered to build Touch ID under the display of the iPhone 13. In addition, this proposal was also tested and there were (or still are) prototypes of apple phones that at the same time they offered Face ID and Touch ID.
According to available information, however, Apple swept this proposal off the table in the early stages of testing itself, which is why we can (for now) unfortunately forget about the iPhone 13 with a fingerprint reader under the display. Allegedly, the technology should not be prepared at a sufficiently high-quality level, which is why it is impossible to implement it in this year's generation of Apple phones. At the same time, it is not even certain whether we will ever see it at all. Indeed, Gurman believes that Apple's primary goal is to implement the Face ID system directly into the display, which could result in a significant reduction, or even the removal of the much-criticized upper notch.
In any case, the new generation of iPhone 13 will be revealed to the world in the coming weeks. The presentation should take place at the traditional September keynote, during which Apple will also show us the new Apple Watch Series 7 and AirPods 3 headphones. The Apple phones should then boast a more powerful chip, a better and larger photo module, a larger battery, a reduced top notch and a ProMotion display with a 120Hz refresh rate in the case of the more expensive Pro models.
Competitors' mobile phones have been able to do this for over two years, and today even mobile phones for 5 thousand have a reader in the display... But Apple can't even do it for twenty-five 🤷🏻♂️🤔
it's not about that - the fingerprint is unfortunately not as secure as it might seem, so beware! That's why it's on mobile phones for 5k and Apple won't put it on a mobile phone for twenty-five.
Face id is a joke compared to the fingerprint reader.
But Apple is always behind, and it probably won't change in the coming years either.
It's the exact opposite, Apple is ahead because the most secure is the numeric code, then FaceID, and then only the fingerprint. It's about safety+comfort, not comfort at the expense of safety.
Apple, well :D
Written from the flip phone you can only dream of.
so you'll replace it as soon as there's a better one, right? :) You are probably not the target group of APPLE, it wants people to use their phones and not to constantly repair them, configure them, solve who is to blame for something slowing down, etc. Yes, there are those and there are not a few of them, otherwise Apple would not be here. We are all different, some are closer to technology and some are closer to something else in which they would like to use technology.
Well, I just got my iPhone 13 mini up and running and I really miss Touch ID. The problem is that when a person picks up the phone and wants to do something, the Face ID camera immediately captures it and that's really not the right thing... For example, when a notification comes and I just want to see without unlocking it to devote or not. Here, the comrades from the USA did not manage it a little..
but it is possible to solve your exact situation, just turn off FaceID auto unlocking, it then behaves exactly as you need:
A) it's you - notification previews will appear and if you want to give it, you just pull the screen up
B) it is not you, the previews are not visible and when you pull the screen up, you enter the PIN
FaceID is great as long as it recognizes you! :)
Try TouchID during the dragonfly, for example!
And with a mask on your face, Face ID is in pr….
