While in the past weeks, in the summary of speculations, we mainly discussed the appearance and packaging of this year's iPhones, or future tablets from Apple, today, among other things, we will also talk about MacBooks. Apple has registered a patent for an interesting-looking durable keyboard.

iPhone packaging

In connection with this year's iPhone models, there is again a lot of speculation about what will be missing from their packaging. As their release approaches, news about their appearance and other details is also increasing. This week, the Asian media came out with a report that all of this year's iPhones should indeed be equipped with OLED displays. But it has also been practically confirmed that Apple will not include charging adapters or basic "wired" Earpods with the iPhone 12 this time. On the ConceptsiPhone Instagram account, a photo of an alleged part of the boxes of this year's iPhones even appeared - the space for the adapter is visibly missing. As for the dimensions of the displays, the mentioned reports talk about a 5,4-inch version, two 6,1-inch models and one 6,7-inch model.

Even more durable MacBook keyboards

This time too, you will not be deprived of patents in the summary of speculations. One of the latest is related to the keyboards of the next MacBooks. Keyboards have been a bit of a problem for Apple laptops in recent years, and Apple has received quite a bit of criticism for the so-called butterfly mechanism. The mentioned patent describes keys reinforced on the surface with hardened glass material. This should prevent the wear of the individual keys and guarantee their longer life. The glass would not prevent the popular keyboard backlight, the top of the keyboard should also be made of a thin layer of polymer, among other things. With this combination, Apple would like to achieve an even higher durability and resistance of the keys than is provided by the usually used plastic. In conclusion, however, it is necessary to add that the mere registration of a patent - even a more self-interesting one - unfortunately does not guarantee its final realization.
