Apple has finally said goodbye to skin. He came up with a new material, which he calls FineWoven, and the production of which produces significantly less carbon emissions. We can find it on iPhone 15 covers, MagSafe wallets or Apple Watch straps.

Apple is a bit presumptuous after all. In the first case, he mentions how his material can be close to leather, in the second, how he is a pioneer in the use of recycled materials, and in the third, he still gets paid relatively well for all of this. On the other hand, by buying a product made of FineWoven material, you can have the warm feeling that you are doing something small for our mother Earth.

FineWoven is the new leather

Apple aims to reduce the impact on the planet of its actions and therefore stops using leather. We would understand it with the covers, there the use of this luxurious material is really unjustified, on the other hand, leather straps simply belong to the watch - not only because of the appearance, but also with regard to durability and the fact that a person is not allergic to them. We don't yet know what FineWoven will do to our skin.

But we know that it has a shiny and soft surface, and that it should at least feel similar to suede, that is, leather treated by sanding on its reverse side. It's also meant to be a sleek and durable twill material that's 68% recycled.

The FineWoven fabric cover with MagSafe for iPhone 15 and 15 Pro is available in silk red, leaf green, smoke, pacific blue and black, and costs CZK 1 in any variant (silicone cover costs CZK 790). The FineWoven wallet with MagSafe for iPhone, which is also available in the same colors, is worth the same. The housing still has aluminum buttons that are anodized in the color of the housing. But take into account that the sides of the cover are plastic.

As for the Apple Watch, the leaf green, Pacific blue or smoke magnetic pull will cost you CZK 2. There is also a silky red, yellow-brown and lavender blue strap with a modern buckle available from FineWoven material for 790 CZK.
