This week, Apple presented interesting news in the framework of Accessibility, which will make life more pleasant for disabled people. Thanks to the use of modern technologies and the excellent interlinking of hardware and software, the apple company managed to bring features for automatic door detection for the visually impaired, control of the Apple Watch using an iPhone, "live" subtitles and many others. All these innovations should appear in the respective products this year.

At the same time, however, Apple opened up a rather interesting discussion about how Accessibility could move forward overall. In terms of software, we have witnessed unprecedented improvements in recent years. Today's phones, tablets and computers can be conveniently operated even with a possible handicap. But the software cannot be moved indefinitely. So is it appropriate for Apple to come up with specialized hardware for the needy? He could take inspiration from Microsoft.

Hardware for people with disabilities

As we have already mentioned above, the software, i.e. Access directly, has recently seen significant changes and improvements. Therefore, the logical question arises as to whether Apple will also start developing and manufacturing specialized hardware. Microsoft also came up with something similar earlier, which wanted to bring the joy of playing on Xbox consoles to disadvantaged people, and therefore developed a special Xbox Adaptive Controller. A number of different buttons can be connected to it and then adjusted according to the needs of the player in order to make playing as pleasant as possible. Thanks to this, even the latest game titles can be enjoyed by people with limited mobility.

In addition, Apple has already brought something similar as part of the mentioned software news. In particular, we mean the Buddy Controller function, thanks to which two controllers can be connected, which then act as one, which can make it easier for a disabled person to play - in short and simply, he will have a partner at his disposal to facilitate control. After all, the same thing is also possible with the Xbox, and by extension the Xbox Adaptive Controller. On the other hand, it is logical that Apple will probably not develop its own game controller with a high probability. In any case, it has more than enough space and the necessary resources, and we can tentatively say that something like this might not be harmful.

When will we wait?

Subsequently, it is also a question of when we will see something similar at all. In this regard, it is necessary to point out that the arrival of the mentioned functions only opens the debate itself. We have not yet heard from any relevant sources about the arrival of specialized hardware for the disabled, which suggests that Apple is probably not even working on something similar. Well, at least for now.
