Rumors turned out to be true this time, Apple actually introduced a brand new class of its tablets today – iPad Pro. Take the display of the iPad Air, turn it to landscape and fill the space vertically with the display so that its ratio is 4:3. This is exactly how you can imagine the physical dimensions of an almost 13-inch panel.
The iPad Pro display has a resolution of 2732 x 2048 pixels, and since it was created by stretching the longer side of the 9,7-inch iPad, the pixel density remained the same at 264 ppi. Since such a panel consumes a large amount of energy, the iPad Pro can reduce the frequency from 60 Hz to 30 Hz for a static image, thereby delaying battery drain. A new Apple Pencil stylus will be available for creative individuals.
If we were to focus on the device itself, it measures 305,7mm x 220,6mm x 6,9mm and weighs 712 grams. There is one speaker on each side of the shorter edge, so there are four. Lightning connector, Touch ID, power button, volume buttons and 3,5mm jack are in their usual places. A new feature is the Smart connector on the left side, which is used to connect the Smart Keyboard - a keyboard for iPad Pro.
The iPad Pro is powered by the 64-bit A9X processor, which is 8 times faster than the A2X in the iPad Air 1,8 in computing, and 2 times faster in terms of graphics. If we compare the performance of the iPad Pro with the performance of the first iPad in 2010 (just 5 and a half years ago), the numbers will be 22 times and 360 times higher. Smooth editing of 4K video or games with very nice effects and details is not a problem for the large iPad.
The rear camera remained at 8 Mpx with an aperture of ƒ/2.4. It can record video in 1080p at 30 frames per second. Slow-motion footage can be shot at 120 frames per second. The front camera has a resolution of 1,2 Mpx and is capable of recording 720p video.
Apple claims a battery life of 10 hours, which corresponds to the value for smaller models. In terms of connectivity, it goes without saying that Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac with MIMO and, depending on the configuration, also LTE. The M6 co-processor takes care of the iPad's motion detection in the same way as in the iPhone 6s and 9s Plus.
Unlike new iPhone 6s the large iPad Pro has not received a fourth color variant and will be available in space gray, silver or gold. In the United States, the cheapest iPad Pro will cost $799, which gets you 32GB and Wi-Fi. You'll pay $150 more for 128GB and another $130 for the same size with LTE. However, the largest iPad will only be available in November. We still have to wait for the Czech prices, but it is likely that even the cheapest iPad Pro will not fall below 20 crowns.

awesome, in black it's just a selma. desktop performance, oh. and the pen, it is expensive and needs to be charged, but in the end it is a pen (or pencil) that can fully replace my writing supplies. this is not any slider from samsung. the keyboard is useless, I will paint on this with the stylus. 128gb without LTE, which is useless to me, under 1000 dollars is a good price. I'm looking forward to the sound, watching movies on this will be like a portable cinema. well done apple.
God, you really have a pretty picture in your head.
Don't worry, it's just a local Saxon...
Nothing else was expected from Anton. He didn't write that he would give the Air 2 to his dog...
microsoft and apple .. steve would be thrilled :)
Why? Microsoft joined Apple already 15 years ago, when Jobs initiated it.
you have to let him go, he just came here to hate just like mr prax and MM. bro, the android is probably pushing it on the head.
Well, well, Apple has already made several (not exactly few) attempts with its "office" and every time it kind of blew up. In general, the development of iWork gives the impression that programmers who do not have anything to do at the moment are relieved to come up with more work for them. They could finally throw the whole iWork in the trash and admit "Microsoft does it better and we won't work on it".
It's interesting, but I've always had the impression that a device of this size without a full-fledged OS has already been shown to be a blind development branch. Performance as a laptop is fine, even if that's only half true, I don't see the point in it anyway. There are simply things for which a full-fledged system is needed, even at the cost of austerity due to the weaker performance of cheaper laptops.
I'm not saying it's a total abomination, but it's hard for me to imagine the target group.
I was also a little annoyed by the fragmentation of the ecosystem with another adapter. If I understand correctly, there is no lightning here, or is it…?
Lightning is there, they showed it with the Pencil, which is charged from the lightning port of the iPad Pro. At least that's how I understood it.
Unfortunately, the transmission was interrupted at that moment and I couldn't find the information here. (Poor O2)
I'll take a look tonight to see if the Keynote will be available for download, so I can finish watching it in one piece tomorrow.
Ondřej, there is already an Ipad Pro on the Apple website, and you can see the lightning connector in the title photo, it is there where it should be. The 3-point magnetic connector is purely a keyboard thing, it probably won't be used for anything else either.
Today, many people don't even take out their laptop anymore - they solve everything on a tablet. It's really possible. A lot of people, even if they didn't admit it before, discover over time that they only use a tablet and their laptop has been lying around for a long time. I think it has a future. It's heading towards that.
Personally, I have it the other way around. We stopped using the iPad and I'm using a MacBook.
Apple has no ecosystem. The meaning of the word is completely different. Just google its meaning.
I did exactly the same. I sold my iPad and prefer to use a Macbook Air.
Yes "it can be done" and that's the problem. You can also scratch with your left foot behind your right ear, but I'd rather do things quickly on a Macbook than fiddle with it on an iPad. That a lot of activities on a touch device are simply insanely tedious for many reasons is simply a fact that cannot be ignored.

Well, it looks like lightning, but somehow it has too many pins ;-)
A pencil for three thousand, I fucking want it!
WOW, shouldn't it be called Apple Surface instead :-D
