This week we informed you that at least one of the iPhones will have Pro in the name. Now there are other reports from other sources that add to the others. How do you like the new names?

While trusted and verified sources confirmed, that at least one of the iPhones will bear the Pro moniker, the others bring other wild combinations. It would probably make sense for all of us to change the designation Max to Pro, and instead of the current iPhone XS Max, we could expect the iPhone 11 Pro.

But case manufacturer ESR shouldn't be in a hurry, whose revealed product portfolio shows a rather wild combination of current and new names. According to ESR, devices named as follows will arrive in September:

iPhone 11 (original XR)
iPhone 11 Pro (original XS)
iPhone 11 Pro Max (original XS Max)

It sounds unbelievable and for many of us such a name is a tongue twister. Fortunately, we can take this information with a grain of salt. While the case makers usually know the external dimensions of the device months before the device itself is released, the names are more or less "shooting from the side" according to the latest leaks from the supply chains.

Advertising materials are then usually finalized only after the new devices are revealed. Basically, it looks like we had a good time with the funny names and can put the whole information behind us. Or not?

Do you like the iPhone 11 Pro Max?

If we look at the patterns according to which Apple names its latest devices, in theory we can welcome the iPhone 11 Pro Max this year.

Recently, Apple has been using the Pro moniker more for marketing purposes than as an actual designation. Is the basic MacBook Pro capable of more professional work? With the installed processor and its clocks, we can at least have an interesting discussion about it.

The company does not seem to rely on the destination, but rather follows the diagonal. If you look at current iPads, it can be beautifully illustrated with an example. The basic iPad is 9,7". Then the iPad Air 10,5" (Pro 2017 by the way), then the iPad Pro 11" and finally the iPad Pro 12,9".

On the other hand, the current XR has a larger 6,1" diagonal than the XS 5,8". So it's hard to say where the whole labeling of individual products is going and whether Apple is just playing with words as it suits him. What do you think?
