Do you have a bunch of deadlines ahead of you, by which time you have to arrange, restore, pick up something? Every now and then you manage to forget something and wonder what to do with it? Then the Expires application is the most suitable application for you, which even accurately counts down the days until the expiration of any of the deadlines and has an excellent design.
Whether you need to remind yourself that your driver's license expires in a month, your ISIC card, that you have to send a tax deposit within a fortnight, or that very expensive cheese you haven't had a taste for before it's expired in 3 days, you can mark all this and much more right in the Expires app and it will "shout" at you with the advance you set. It can be up to two months.
There are 32 preset options to choose from, which you have to catch up on, and if something else happens to expire and the developer has no idea what to do, you can add it yourself in the box called jine.
Just three taps on the display to create a new reminder and you're done. A connection with the calendar is also planned until the next update.
In the App Store, you can buy Expires from Czech developers for 0,89 euros, which is definitely worth more than, say, a fine for an expired driver's license.

why do I only have it in English?
The application language is set to the language of the phone. Just change it to Czech. Sincerely, Ladislav Greiner, co-creator of the application
The application looks nice, but men should enter the same in the comments.
Hello and thank you for the reminder, the advantage of this application compared to other similar ones is that it only takes 3 steps to set up. For me, the setup in Reminders was too tedious. Sincerely, Ladislav Greiner, co-creator of the application
Really great application, it's just a shame that it's only in EN, or if I can switch the system language to CZ, it's a shame that the author didn't think of that and didn't add a menu to set the application language. The author of the post didn't test it either.
This is a problem with most applications. If the application is localized to a certain language and you want to use it in the application, you have to switch the whole system to it. Unfortunately, only a small number of apps offer the option to switch to another language directly inside the app, which is a great shame, personally I would also often welcome this when using iOS in English.
Exactly Mr. Holzman, of course I also use the IOS system in EN. Wouldn't it be more reasonable to add menu settings - change language?
Just because of the fact that users who have EN or SK language in the system would accept from the application in CZ or SK language. I bought the application today, I appreciate that it is in EN, but it upset me.
Hello once again, it seemed logical to me that if the user has
switched the entire system to EN, also requires applications in EN.
Hmm, only if the system is in SK, the application is in EN, you could consider switching to CZ, even if it is ideal to reflect on the users' requirements, in an ideal world.
Look forward to my update in the coming days. You're right, I only just now understood your comment and it didn't occur to me that the application language is automatically set to EN for those who are localized in SK. In a soon update, the application will change to CZ. Thank you for the stimulating reminder, thank you for the favor, Ladislav Greiner
Ah, I misunderstood your question... The error is really on our side, because I didn't realize that users of SK localization will have the application set in EN and not in CZ. We have therefore corrected the error and within a few days you will be able to download an update that solves this shortcoming by switching to the CZ language. Thank you for the stimulating reminder, Ladislav Greiner
The application language is set to the language of the phone. Just change it to Czech. Sincerely, Ladislav Greiner, co-creator of the application
Thank you for the information, unfortunately, because of one application, I will not switch the system to the CZ language. If you are a co-creator, then as a customer I would accept the possibility of choosing a language, regardless of which language I have set in the IOS system. Thank you
And what is completely forgotten is the saving of settings in iCloud, why developers don't use it more when it is available is a mystery to me. But otherwise, a very nice app, thanks.
Because it almost doesn't work :-)
Hello, I am working on an update, during March the application will be synchronizable with the calendar, thus the iCloud transfer will be solved. Sincerely, Ladislav Greiner, co-creator of the application
I use google calendar for that... :)
Nice... It could still be optimized for the iPad and fine-tuned details, you need the ability to create and name your own categories and individual items. It's nice to have the "Birthday" event type, but if there are any, I can only write them in a note, which is not displayed in the overview - so to find out if the birthday is actually close, I have to click on the item unnecessarily... Otherwise, a nice idea
You can create your own event
Very luxurious:) the only thing missing is the ability to repeat the event at some intervals, that's a shame...:(
Thank you very much, I am also grateful for all the suggestions that I collect, analyze and perceive, and if they do not deviate too much from the basic idea of the application, which is the simplest and fastest input possible, especially clarity, I will gladly incorporate some of the suggestions into the application. Sincerely, Ladislav Greiner
To be honest, the only good thing about the app is that it shows how many days are left.
1. does not have a repetition of the event (probably the authors celebrate their birthdays once in a lifetime)
2. I don't understand why they would want to synchronize with the calendar - rather with reminders, right?
3. if I use the standard reminders in iOS, I also have it for three steps (advertising banner) and I can also set other things
4. there is no synchronization of events between other devices
5. sometimes it crashes or the event does not appear in the list after entering
6. I might suggest a mesher font for more entries
Otherwise, it's a good idea, but not completed yet. Hopefully the next version will improve it
Hello, the application is unique precisely because it is set up in JUST 3 steps. Which, of course, may not suit everyone who prefers to reach for the Reminder or Calendar that they offer
many more settings. I didn't like such lengthy setup, that's why I designed this application, which maybe, like me, will please someone with its simplicity and, above all, clarity... Ladislav Greiner, co-creator of the application
Thank you Ilona for a great article.
I am an app developer and I appreciate any feedback.
For Slovak colleagues, we have a small inconvenience in that we did not include the localization in SK and therefore the application is displayed in English. We are already solving this and we will send an update to the AppStore within a few days! Next up is syncing with the calendar. Repeated reminders are also a very interesting tip, we will definitely think about it and maybe add it in the future.
Simple, clear, nice design.
Just a little thing about the list of activities - I don't see if there is any logic in the order, maybe I would put it alphabetically.
Anyway, great idea and nice app :-)
Hi Radek, so far we have set the sorting according to expiration days. Laida
