One of the products that has been speculated as candidates for introduction during Thursday's keynote, was an upgraded MacBook Air with a Retina display. However, according to the latest reports, Apple does not yet have a significant revival of its thinnest notebook ready, so we will probably not see it until next year.

Thursday's presentation should mainly concern iPads and apparently also the new iMac with Retina display. Other new hardware is not ruled out, but the MacBook Air, which does not yet have a high-resolution display, will not be among them. Citing his usually very reliable sources inside Apple it he claims John Paczkowski of Re / code.

The presentation of the new MacBook Air will probably take place only during 2015. According to the speculations so far, it should be even thinner than the current model and should have a 12-inch Retina display. After more than four years, there should be a major change in the design and execution of the MacBook Air.

However, we can look forward to other products on Thursday - the new iPad Air, iPad mini, OS X Yosemite, and maybe something else.
