During the last few weeks, several indications appeared on the Internet that Apple could start distributing the so-called refurbished device via the eBay site, namely an account named Refurbished Outlet. So far, no detailed information about the seller can be found in the account details, the device lacks its origin, but the 99,7% buyer satisfaction indicates that it may indeed be an Apple bazaar.

Another indication of the authenticity of the store could be the prices of the used devices, which are identical to those on the official website, as well as the conditions under which the devices are sold, namely:

  • warranty one year
  • the used device was returned in "as new" condition
  • iPads and iPods contain a new battery
  • complete tests were carried out for the most common faults
  • always includes a clean OS installation
  • it was repackaged with manual and cables
  • qualitative tests were performed

However, compared to the official store, which calculates tax across all States, eBay taxes are only calculated in California (7,25%), Washington DC (6%), Indiana (7%), Nevada (6,85%), New Jersey (8%) and Texas (6,25%).

Editor's note: We don't really like the sale of equipment through another company's store. We can't think of a single reason why Apple would resort to this move. After all, shopping at the Apple Online Store is a very simple matter. But maybe we are wrong...
