Apple has just released the official iOS 11 release for all users who have a compatible device. The release was preceded by several months of testing, either in the open (public) beta test or in the closed (developer) one. Let's take a brief look at how to update the device, for which products this year's update is intended and, last but not least, what awaits us in the new version of iOS.
How to Update iOS
Updating your device is easy. First of all, we recommend backing up your iPhone/iPad/iPod. Once you have the backup done, you can start the update through the settings. It should appear in the same place as all previous updates of your device, ie Settings - In general - updates software. If you have the update here, you can start the download and then confirm the installation. If you don't see the presence of the iOS 11 update, be patient for a while, because Apple releases new versions gradually and, in addition to you, several hundred million other users are waiting for it. In the following hours it will reach everyone :)
If you are used to doing all the updates using iTunes, this option is also available. Simply connect your device to your computer and iTunes will prompt you to download and install the new software version. Even in this case, we recommend backing up before starting the update.

I'm curious about sprinklers and faucets with AirPlay2 support :)
Although singing fountains exist…
I'm wondering, and it's quiet all over the place, what about the new version of iTunes, Apple has somehow cut off users from updating, downloading and archiving applications. I deleted the bug and reinstalled version 12.6.2. This condemned me (Apple condemned us) to not use IOS 11 and buy a new iPhone. Does anyone know more about the crippled iTunes?
Hey, shut up. It is no longer possible to upload a ringtone or an ebook. I don't understand... The official version is that you should use Offload. Apple didn't give this at all.
ebooks are no longer available from iTunes, I think version 10.xxx, they changed it to iBooks, but if I can advise, Caliber is the best app for ekhihy. It's free and supports a large number of formats and works perfectly with e-readers. But not iPhones, there the books have to be loaded into iBooks and synced via iTunes.
iTunes is not needed for eBooks. Just drop the book on dropbox and choose to open it in iBooks. The book will then remain in the iBooks library.
the problem with iBooks is more complicated, not only I use an eReader, and in the original iTunes I had folders created and named according to genres and in them subfolders with the name of the author of the book and in them the books themselves with their titles. At the moment when Apple gifted us with a pasquil called iBooks, and after launching these, they performed a super action when all the books were transferred from the folder located in iTunes to the iBooks library, but beware, all the folders with the genre, author and title of the books were deleted and the pasquil renamed the books themselves with a series of numbers, and so if the user wanted to edit, repair or otherwise use a book, for example by loading it into an e-reader, he was in trouble, because it was no longer possible to find a specific book among thousands of items. If iTunes took care of the books, there was no problem with anything.
This also upset me, at least because of the already poor possibilities of backing up only what I want or what I paid for.
If you don't have an iOS device, that's what you're missing out on!!!
well, that's exactly the stupidity of Apple, that it wants to gradually completely destroy older iPhones and iPads that still serve well. He has almost no way to increase the number of buyers, so he wants to force such a swindler to buy new devices. If someone then buys a slightly older device second-hand, they will be screwed, because they will not have the opportunity to fill the founa and pads with apps
It didn't even happen to me, even though I have an old iPod at home (about a million years ;-) ). And look at the world, there are no apps for that in the store anymore, but with iOS 4 you can only upload music there with a few errors, it's not for videos either ;-).
But I understand that the situation with some not so old devices is much worse. On the other hand, you won't download a 32-bit application within a year, and all 64-bit devices will definitely be upgraded to iOS 11.
Personally, what bothers me the most is that you simply lose the application that you don't have downloaded on your iOS device, as soon as it is not in the store. It's been years since I backed up to iCloud and no one cared (including me), so I did normal local downloads and backups on the MAC.
Well, what a good surprise! The possibility of backing up only paid items and those that I select is currently changing to the impossibility of backing up, if you don't have it on some iOS device!!! Have a good laugh!
I have an iphone 6s plus and the new ios is really eating up my battery. Anyone else reporting a similar problem? :D on iPad pro 10,5 everything is fine.
I have a 6sPlus - TSMC - and it doesn't eat my battery.
The speed is better than on iOS10 and, above all, absolutely perfect fluidity between applications and when moving in them.
Safari is perhaps the most noticeable difference beauty - I'm just sorry that ad blocking is not on mobile only on PC - on mobile it makes the most sense because the ad takes up half the screen and consumes expensive data unnecessarily.
Try 1block, I've been using it for almost a year and it's great.
Good bye support for the 4th generation iPad, you served well :-)
Well, I have a 7 and like, no acceleration, I rather think it's slower.. When I go to the home screen from some app, it takes half a second... fast movement in the system of zero points, normally it has to finish the incredibly long animation and then I can go to the next desktop.. When I open the app from a folder with more apps, it takes 2-3 seconds before I get to the desktop... because, 1.5 seconds before it drops me into that folder, and then another click and so on 1.5 seconds on the desktop.. well shock, this is incredibly annoying, this unnecessary "slowness".. oh
Has anyone verified on iPad Air 2 or iP6s?
Anyone brave enough to try on an iPhone SE?
The iPhone SE has the same internals as the 6s, so why bold? The phone is still quite powerful.
SW for SE and 6S will probably not be the same. Someone just wrote here that it is slow on the 7 and that it eats up the battery on the 6S, which has a different battery than the 5 SE. So maybe someone has already tried it.
Don't worry, it works fine on the SE - tried and tested
So far so good...
Are you all such morons...? What did you expect, that older iPhones will still be updated, so why don't you drive a Trabant, but a new Octavia? I have iPhone 6 and ios11 since the 7beta version and it has never been better!!! Buy an android and you'll at least have a reason to talk...
you should think who is the moron here, since no iPhone will support it from iOS 11. You are sitting outside the bowl
What the hell are you talking about?? More intelligent people like you ;)
iOS 11 installed on iP 6 64gb. Then it's fine, only when I switch from the airplane profile, the "blue tooth" automatically turns on, which I hardly use, and when I switch to the "airplane" I don't have the blue tooth turned on...
it still jumps despite turning it off in basic settings
agree with BT, it turns on automatically when the aircraft is turned off. Tested on 2 iP 6s. Hopefully they'll get it together soon
When I turn BT off in the settings, it doesn't turn on after turning off the plane. Likewise wifi, the control center does not turn off wifi, but only disconnects from the currently connected one. Such a strange behavior.
You're right.
Is there a way in the settings to turn off the name of the application that takes up 20% of the screen? You launch Messages and the H1 heading Messages takes up almost a quarter of the application screen. You start Wallet, almost a quarter of the screen says Wallet, etc. I understand when someone has the 5.5" phone, but it sucks for me on the SE.
I'm exactly the same :-(
My previously purchased ringtones are not working. It still rings with the default melody. WTF?
i just contacted apple support and found out that it is no longer possible to add custom ringtones :(
I found that out too. And the interesting thing is, of the old ones already installed, some work and some don't?
Do I understand correctly that if I had a custom ringtone (my favorite song) and a custom sms tone on iOS 10, they will no longer work in iOS 11 and I will have to choose from the default ones?
After the update, my own ring tone remained there (ring tone, SMS, calendar, alarm clock)
Hi, does anyone have more experience with iOS 11 on an iPhone 7? I read that it either runs slower than iOS 10 or that the battery drains quickly. So is iOS 11 worth installing? I'd hate to screw this up. Thanks for the replies :)
I installed it on an iPad mini 2, everything works like clockwork (I subjectively feel that it is faster), the flashlight works, but... I can't for God's sake separate Slide Over and Split View. In iOS 10, there was such a patch on the right in the middle, there is nothing here. I have usage enabled in preferences. Does anyone know what to do with it?
You drag it from the dock
Hello, Somehow I can't find the settings for "hey siri" and in general it seems to me that the settings for siri are somewhere else than when I look at the reviews. Do you have the same problem? Otherwise, on the iphone 7 my battery dies faster than on the previous ios.
Success! I already search for everything via Search in the settings, I wrote Siri in that box. Main menu General:Accessibility:Siri. I don't know how it is in Czech. But the search input box in the settings will also be there.
Attention!!! Their famous new photo format is compatible with absolutely nothing! These photos cannot be uploaded to any advertising server, they are not supported and Win cannot display them.
Big headlines and such overall strange bold and large font really piss me off, even the stupid application has been banned. Always otherwise clean and nice fingers, ios is really ugly now.
Otherwise, the 6s speed and the battery are ok, my own tunes also work, so no change.
Ipad installation was fine and getting to know each other just the morning surprise when I found out that the iPad is dead and doesn't respond to ANYTHING :-(
although the new keyboard is good; but which pakistani kid invents that keyboard; when I have to go to level 2 to make a comma after a paragraph; but the % symbol; €; or the semicolon now goes in one fell swoop!!!
at the same time, for example, in German or English, the comma logically and simply goes to the first one.
this is stupid!!
The dash also annoys me. A dot is simple, is there anything for a comma?
