At the keynote, Apple only announced the subsidized prices of the newly introduced phones iPhone 5s a iPhone 5c. On Apple.com, however, it is also possible to find out at what prices it will be possible to buy iPhones without a commitment.
In the case of the iPhone 5s, the prices have not changed, they are the same as the previous generations of the phone:
- 16GB version – $649 (around CZK 17 here)
- 32GB version – $749 (around CZK 20 here)
- 64GB version – $840 (around CZK 22 here)
Less pleasing are the prices of the iPhone 5c, which were expected to be significantly lower, around $349 to $399 for the 16GB version. The iPhone 5c replaced the iPhone 5 in the lineup and took over its prices as a discounted device from last year:
- 16GB version – $549 (around CZK 15 here)
- 32GB version – $649 (around CZK 17 here)
The last on the menu is the 8GB iPhone 4S, which is actually a big surprise, as it was assumed that Apple would want to get rid of the 30-pin connector and the smaller diagonal. It will be available for $449, in our country for CZK 9.
Very bad joke :( But it was to be expected :(
That's right, I'd be crazy to pay that kind of money for a phone that I can buy 3 of the most expensive versions every month. Android is not worth buying, WP is still in beta, but I won't buy a new iPhone either. There are many other things of greater value.
I mainly have the impression that my 4ka (relatively usable with the latest iOS7GM, by the way) will last a couple of months and then I'll try some Lumia :/
I'll just let my 4S live and then buy a push-button phone and have an iPad. I have both Android and WP in my home, and when you use it for a while, you suddenly find out how iOS and Apple products are handled perfectly. But I won't pay that kind of money for phones today, we have a better use for them.
It's relative.. if the operator gives you a HW budget of approx. 2 CZK for signing a contract for 16.000 years (with or without a contract, you call for the same money), then what about it?
For that, I can have 4 tablets with Android or 1 new iPhone (so I have to pay approx. 2.000 extra for it).
So what should I choose? :O)
Céčko doesn't surprise me... What did you expect? It's still an iPhone, right? :D
5S > 5C
And then Apple can't surprise anymore :D
For the price of a mobile phone, iOS is pointless for a tablet, I'm still willing to accept it.
If Apple wanted to enter the Chinese and Indian markets with the Czech Republic, I can already see how they are shaking at such expensive plastics... So I was expecting a more vigorous attack. I wouldn't give three stars for that :-)
I think with the contract with China Mobile about to expire, Apple has nothing to worry about. China Mobile will offer both the iPhone 5C and 5S with a subsidy to attract customers there. And everyone will be happy.
Mainly for China Mobile, Apple will deliver iPhones at prices that the rest of the world can't even dream of :-)
It is expensive. It has a lot of wickedness. We don't like the design. We don't have many reasons not to buy it. … And then we collect the bills and buy him. As always :-)
Exactly :))
If I buy an iPhone in England, where can I complain in the event of a malfunction? And I mean an iPhone directly from the Apple Store. Ta
You can complain anywhere that sells (official) Apple products, but the warranty only covers one year from the initial start-up, by which I mean the first time the device is put into operation, but you also have the option of extending it to 2 years for $99, you need it here :) http://store.apple.com/us/product/APP_IPHONE_PLUS_AUTO-110480/applecare-for-iphone
If you buy from the Apple Store, it is automatically sold with a 1 year worldwide warranty, so you can claim it worldwide. Here I recommend that in the event of a problem you either bring the phone in person to the nearest Apple Store (Germany - Dresden) or send it by post... In most cases, the phone will be replaced piece by piece and sent back. If you choose a complaint at the service center in the Czech Republic, expect that they will take the phone and send it to London or Ireland, where it may be replaced... That is. ideal to go on a trip to Germany with the family and take care of it yourself :)
the warranty is only in Europe, not worldwide. With iZarížení, it's on continents. You can buy it in England and you can claim it in the Czech Republic at authorized services. Czech service, iOpravna, etc. :)
As for the recalculation of prices, it is wrong. 549 dollars is not 14000 but about 11000
You obviously did not notice that most companies incl. Apple has long stopped converting the dollar against the euro. It is "1:1" for them, i.e. in Europe it will be 549 Czechs, not the ratio to the dollar. Welcome to the 21st century. :-)
Does the EU price include tax?
Like there are no taxes in the US??? :-D It is said to be a mere compensation of the falling exchange rate of the Euro against the Dollar (cough and I say "bullshit"). :-)
Taxes are there but not shown in online stores. Every state has a different sales tax.
I already wrote Apple's official statement from last year, when the price went up on the AppStore and everywhere. It's not about the tax... Look at the UK and German AppleStore - you'll see that I didn't lie. :-) It's even more.
You are absolutely right, it is, I have read it many times.
Of course it's not bad. The conversion from USD works by multiplying the amount by the exchange rate (i.e. *20) and then *1,3 (approx. 20% VAT and 10% duty)... Then you get the real prices ;-)
So, on the one hand, thanks to the price, the iP will still remain a premium product... It almost seems to me that they made a Céčko for American "children", so that it would be thanks to the colors and covers of Frý kól and etc... It's just a shame that there really are leaks and probably they will already be 100% reality. I would prefer if the leaks were systemic marketing and then the keynote was something completely different, but that's probably just my dream :)
There's just a small catch, the market in the US or the EU is penetrated, they won't make much of a dent there with an increase in market share or growth in profits. They will just recycle what is already there. If the cheapest version of the 5C started at around 6.000 CZK, it makes sense in other markets as well. That's how it's out.
The way I see it is GENIUS. Think about it: You're about to release an iPhone 5S, you want to keep selling the current iPhone5 for the same money as possible, but that won't work because most people would rather pay more and buy the iP5S. So you have to discount a lot - but you don't want to. Plus, there's still a pretty strong base of those who just like the iPhone4S. In addition, you can see for yourself how the business with colorful covers for iPhones is flourishing, just look at the analyzes of color sales, come up with an iPhone 5C - basically a slightly modified iPhone5 and give it a cheaper and colorful jacket. As a result, you can sell it the way you originally wanted to sell iPhone5 and you will still reach a new group of customers. As a result, everyone is satisfied, because, hand on heart: if I go to buy an iPhone5 in December - I will buy a year-old and obsolete phone. If I buy an iPhone5C – I have the current model after all…
It wasn't about selling something cheaper - in my opinion - it was about how to keep the standard price even for an older model - at the price of - let's call it - a facelift...
In the end, everyone will probably not be very satisfied, because of course there was speculation about a cheap (or cheaper) iPhone. But otherwise I have to agree with you on almost everything, Apple has it figured out very well.
There was speculation, but Apple never said anything about a cheaper iPhone and that's it. :)
And who can explain to me why the iPhone is more expensive than the iPad, which does not have a phone, but has a larger display and battery...
precisely because it does not call... Stuffing a GSM module with other HW into a smaller package with sufficient endurance is a challenge like a pig
Of course, he has a GSM module in the Cellular version. And after jailbreaking, you can also make calls through headphones with a microphone. It's just marketing. If we take WiFi only, then it's a different story.
It's not so hot with that price. See how much the iPhone 5 sells for at iWorld, iTouch, iStyle. Here it is also around 17-18 thousand. We'll see what our operators and the Apple store come up with.
Does this mean that the iPhone5 will no longer be sold?
