Given that these products were not presented through a classic conference, we cannot expect groundbreaking changes from them. Adam Kos A15 Bionic chip
The brand new Apple TV 4K received the A15 Bionic chip, which makes it really extremely powerful, but at the same time economical. The A15 Bionic chip can be found specifically in the iPhone 14 (Plus), or in the entire iPhone 13 (Pro) range, so Apple certainly did not hold back in this regard. The leap is really essential, since the second generation offered the A12 Bionic chip. In addition, due to the economy and efficiency of the A15 Bionic chip, Apple could afford to completely remove active cooling, i.e. the fan, from the third generation.
More RAM
Of course, the main chip is seconded by the operating memory. The problem, however, is that many Apple products do not indicate the capacity of the operating memory at all, and the Apple TV 4K also belongs to this group. But the good news is that sooner or later we will always find out about the RAM capacity anyway. While the second generation Apple TV 4K offered 3 GB of operating memory, the new third generation has improved again, straight to a pleasant 4 GB. Thanks to this and the A15 Bionic chip, the new Apple TV 4K becomes a machine with perfect performance.

If you've bought an Apple TV 4K so far, you'll know that it came packaged in a square-shaped box - and that's how it's been for several long years. However, for the latest generation, Apple decided to modify the packaging of the Apple TV. This means that it is no longer packed in a classic square box, but in a rectangular box that is also vertical - see the image below. In addition, from the point of view of the packaging, it is worth mentioning that you will no longer find a charging cable for the Siri Remote, which you may have to purchase separately.

More storage and two versions
With the last generation of Apple TV 4K, you could choose whether you wanted a version with a storage capacity of 32 GB or 64 GB. The good news is that the new generation has increased storage, but in a way you have no choice in this regard. Apple has decided to create two versions of the Apple TV 4K, a cheaper one with only Wi-Fi and a more expensive one with Wi-Fi + Ethernet, with the first mentioned having 64 GB and the second 128 GB of storage. Now you no longer choose based on storage size, but only on whether you need Ethernet. Just for the sake of interest, the price has dropped to CZK 4 and CZK 190 respectively.

Design changes
The new Apple TV 4K has seen changes not only in the guts, but also in the exterior. For example, there is no longer the tv label on the top, but only the logo itself. In addition, compared to the previous generation, the new one is smaller by 4 millimeters in terms of width and 5 millimeters in terms of thickness – resulting in a total reduction of 12%. In addition, the new Apple TV 4K is also significantly lighter, specifically weighing 208 grams (Wi-Fi version) and 214 grams (Wi-Fi + Ethernet), respectively, while the previous generation weighed 425 grams. This is a weight reduction of roughly 50%, and this is mainly due to the removal of the active cooling system.
