Even though Apple products are relatively reliable and work without problems most of the time, there are frustrating problems that Apple doesn't seem to want to fix. If you're an Apple Watch user and you're annoyed that some functions don't work as expected, this article might be useful for you. In it, we will show 5 eternal problems with the Apple Watch and focus on possible repair options.

The screen does not light up after raising the wrist

If the Apple Watch screen does not light up after raising the wrist, there can be several reasons. First, make sure that you do not have Cinema or Sleep mode active, in which the display never lights up after raising your wrist - just open the control center. If you don't have either mode turned on, go to the Watch app on your iPhone, where you open General -> Wake Screen and execute deactivation and reactivation Wake up by raising your wrist.

Can't make a phone call

You can also make calls through your Apple Watch. However, from time to time the call may not be successful, or it may not be possible to receive it. In this case, it is first necessary to make sure that you have your iPhone within reach - in the Czech Republic we do not have the Celluar version of the Apple Watch, which can be used to make calls anywhere. If you don't have an iPhone with you, all you have to do is connect your Apple Watch to the same Wi-Fi network as your iPhone. If you still can't make calls, make sure you have the latest version of iOS and watchOS installed - in both cases, just go to Settings -> General -> Software Update.

Slow and stuttering system

Does it seem like your Apple Watch worked better a while ago than it does now? In this case, it is necessary to realize whether you have a newer model or an older one. If you own a newer Apple Watch, it should be enough to restart your Apple Watch - hold down the side button, slide your finger on the power off slider, then turn the watch back on. If you have an older Apple Watch, you can disable animations. Just go to the app on your Apple Watch Settings -> Accessibility -> Restrict movement, where the function Activate Restrict movement.

Mac unlock not working

For a long time now, you have been able to activate a feature on your Mac that allows you to unlock it using your Apple Watch. Unfortunately, for as long as the feature has been available, users have complained that it doesn't quite work as expected, which I can attest to from my own experience. In this case, you can deactivate and reactivate the function directly on the Mac, however, this procedure does not always work. Much more often, the Wrist Detection function can get stuck on the Apple Watch, which you just need to deactivate and activate again. Just go to the app Watch -> Code, where the function is located. We addressed this issue in more detail in the article I am attaching below.

Unable to connect to iPhone

Do you have an iPhone right next to your Apple Watch and still they can't connect to it? This is a relatively common problem that every Apple Watch user might have encountered. In this case, make sure you have Bluetooth turned on on your iPhone - just open Control Center. If it is on, deactivate it and reactivate it. If this procedure did not help, restart both the Apple Watch and the iPhone. Finally, if all else fails, you can perform a hard reset on your Apple Watch, which you do in the app Watch, where at the top right click on All watches, then on even in a circle and finally on Unpair Apple Watch. Then re-pair.
