If you are a fan of Apple products and follow the events in the apple world regularly, you certainly did not miss the products presented a week ago - namely HomePod mini, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. As it usually happens, Apple always highlights the most interesting information at the presentation, with which it entices potential customers to buy. However, this article is intended for those who are thinking about new products from Apple's portfolio, in which you will learn less discussed facts.

The ceramic-enriched glass in iPhones does not protect the entire body of the device

One of the things that Apple highlighted at this year's Keynote was the new durable Ceramic Shield glass, which, according to him, is several times stronger than what he used until now, and at the same time the most durable of all smartphones on the market. Although we haven't had the opportunity to test whether this is really the case, what we already know is that the Ceramic Shield is only located on the front of the phone, where the display is located. If you were expecting Apple to add it to the back of the smartphone as well, I have to disappoint you. So you probably won't need a protective glass to protect the display, but you should reach for the back cover.

Intercom

When introducing the new smart speaker called HomePod mini, Apple mainly boasted about its price in relation to performance, but left behind the very interesting Intercom service. It will work simply by allowing you to send messages between Apple devices throughout the home, both on the HomePod and on the iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch. In practice, for example, you will have a HomePod in every room, and to summon the whole family, you send a message to all of them, and to summon just one person, you select only a specific room. If he is not in the room or near the HomePod, the message will arrive on the iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch. For more detailed information about the Intercom service, read the article below.

The cases literally stick to the new iPhones

One of the more interesting accessories Apple mentioned at the Keynote was the MagSafe magnetic wireless chargers, which owners of older MacBooks may still remember. Thanks to the magnets in the charger and the phone, they simply stick to each other - you just place the smartphone on the charger and the power starts. However, Apple also introduced new covers that also have magnets in them. Inserting the iPhone into the covers will be extremely easy, and the same applies to removing it. Additionally, Apple said that Belkin is also working on MagSafe cases for the iPhone, and it's almost certain that other manufacturers are as well. In any case, we have a lot to look forward to.

Night mode in all cameras

Many Android users find some of the iPhone's camera specs laughable, such as the fact that they're still only 12MP. But in this case, it does not mean that a larger number necessarily means a better parameter. On the other hand, it is necessary to realize that thanks to the extremely powerful processor and sophisticated software, photos from iPhones often look much better than those of most competing devices. It was thanks to the new A14 Bionic processor that this year, for example, Apple was able to implement a night mode in both the TrueDepth camera and the ultra-wide-angle lens.

iPhone 12:

The iPhone 12 Pro Max has better cameras than the iPhone 12 Pro

In recent years, it was such a standard that when buying flagships from Apple, only the size of the display mattered, the other parameters were the same. However, Apple has resorted to making the cameras in the iPhone 12 Pro Max a bit better. Of course, you don't have to worry about taking low-quality photos with its smaller brother, but you won't get the best of it. The difference is in the telephoto lens, which both phones have a resolution of 12 Mpix, but the smaller "Pro" has an aperture of f/2.0, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max has an aperture of f/2.2. In addition, the iPhone 12 Pro Max has slightly better stabilization and zoom, which you will notice both when taking photos and recording videos. Learn more about cameras in the article below.
