Connecting to Spotlight

In the iOS 17 operating system, Apple improved the functionality of Spotlight, which now works more effectively with the native Photos application. Spotlight, which is used to quickly open apps and ask basic questions, can now show you icons directly related to the Photos app in iOS 17. This allows direct access to photos taken in a specific location or the contents of a specific album without having to open the Photos app itself.

Lifting an object from a photo

If you own an iPhone with iOS version 16 or later, you can use the new function of working with the main object in Photos. Just open the photo you want to work on. Hold your finger on the main object in the image and then choose to copy, cut or move it to another application. Of course, you can also create stickers for native Messages from objects in photos.

Delete and merge duplicate photos

In native Photos on iPhones with iOS 16 and later, you can easily identify and handle duplicates through a simple merge or delete process. How to do it? Just launch native Photos and tap the Albums section at the bottom of the screen. Scroll all the way down to the More Albums section, tap Duplicates, and then select the desired actions to handle the selected duplicates.

Browsing edit history

Among other things, the newer version of the iOS operating system also brings users the ability to redo the last changes made or, conversely, to go back one step. To use this function, when editing photos in the editor in the corresponding native application, tap the forward arrow to repeat or the back arrow to cancel the last step at the top of the display.

Quick crop

If you have an iPhone running iOS 17 or later, you can crop photos even faster and more efficiently. Instead of going into editing mode, just start performing a zoom gesture on the photo by spreading two fingers. After a while, the Crop button will appear in the upper right corner. Once you have reached the desired selection, just click on this button.
