The iOS 14 operating system has been in its version for the general public in the world for quite a few months now. Among other things, this version of iOS also brought a handful of new options when working with iMessage - in today's article, we bring you five interesting tips and tricks, thanks to which you can really use iMessage in iOS 14 to the maximum.

Pinning conversations

Many of us receive a huge amount of messages every day, but only a fraction of them are really important. If you want to stay on top of the conversations that matter to you, and at the same time want to always have that conversation close at hand, you can pin it to the top of the list. IN conversation list select the message you want to pin. Long press message panel and select in the menu that appears Pin. The message will appear above the list of your conversations, to "unpin" it use a long press again and select Unpin.

Activate mentions

If you often participate in group conversations within the iMessage service, you will certainly welcome the ability to mark a specific user for better overview. This marking also guarantees that even in a confusing conversation, you will always know reliably that someone is writing something to you. But you have to activate mentions first. On your iPhone, run Settings -> Messages, and in the section Mentions activate the item Notify me.

Better search in photos

With the arrival of the iOS 14 operating system, the iMessage service (and thus the native Messages application) got an even better photo search for attachments. In the conversation you want to add a photo to, first tap Photos application icon at the bottom of the display. Then at the top right, tap on All photos and you can start searching in the usual way.

Search for emoji

The iOS 14 operating system also brought a novelty in the form of the ability to search between emoticons. This feature is available in all applications where the keyboard can be used. When typing, tap first smiley icon to the left of the space bar. It will appear at the top of the keyboard panel text field, in which you can start entering keywords.

Filter messages

You also have the ability to filter senders in native Messages on your iPhone. Thanks to this handy function, messages from your contacts and sometimes spam messages from unknown senders will be separated. You can activate the message filtering function in Settings -> Messages, where in the section Message filtering you activate the item Filter unknown senders.
