Last week, we saw the presentation of the most anticipated new product of this year – the iPhone 13 series. Although Apple did not introduce too many design changes, and therefore bet on the appearance of last year's extremely popular 5s, it still managed to offer a number of new products that were not here yet. But this time we don't mean reducing the upper cutout, but something bigger. So let's take a look at 13 amazing changes to the iPhone XNUMX (Pro).

Double the storage on the base model

What apple growers have been clamoring for for several years has undoubtedly been more storage. Until now, the storage of Apple phones started at 64 GB, which is simply not enough in 2021. Of course, it was possible to pay extra for something extra, but these configurations practically became mandatory, if you didn't want to see messages about lack of space. Fortunately, Apple (finally) heard the calls of the users themselves and brought an interesting change with this year's iPhone 13 (Pro) series. The basic iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini start at 64 GB instead of 128 GB, while it is possible to pay extra for 256 GB and 512 GB. As for the Pro (Max) models, they again start at 128 GB (as with the iPhone 12 Pro), but a new option has been added. There is still a choice of 256GB, 512GB and 1TB storage.

ProMotion display

iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max have seen interesting changes in the case of the display. Even in this case, Apple has responded to the long-standing desires of Apple users who longed for an iPhone whose display will offer a higher refresh rate than 60 Hz. And that's exactly what happened. The Cupertino giant supplied the mentioned models with a so-called ProMotion display with adaptive adjustment of the refresh rate based on the displayed content. Thanks to this, the display can change this frequency in the range from 10 Hz to 120 Hz and thus offer the user a significantly more lively experience - everything is simply smoother and prettier.

This is how Apple presented ProMotion on the iPhone 13 Pro (Max):

Bigger battery

Apple already mentioned during the presentation of its new products that thanks to the rearranging of internal components in the body of the iPhone 13 (Pro), it gained more space, which it could then dedicate to the extremely important battery. Its endurance is literally an endless topic and it must be noted that in this direction, everyone will probably never be 100% happy. Even so, we got a slight improvement anyway. Specifically, the iPhone 13 mini and iPhone 13 Pro models last 1,5 hours longer than their predecessors, and the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro Max models even last 2,5 hours.

A much better camera

In recent years, a number of mobile phone manufacturers have been pushing the imaginary limits of cameras. Every year, smartphones become better devices that can handle incredibly high-quality photos. Of course, Apple is no exception to this. That's why the best part of this year's lineup comes in the cameras themselves. The Cupertino giant did not only change their position on the body of the phone, but also brought a number of great changes, thanks to which the phones take care of significantly better and brighter images.

For example, in the case of the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini, Apple has bet on the largest sensors to date in the case of the so-called dual camera, which allows them to capture up to 47% more light. To make matters worse, the ultra-wide-angle lens can also take better photos in poor lighting conditions. At the same time, all phones from the iPhone 13 series received optical stabilization using a sliding sensor, which was only limited to the iPhone 12 Pro Max last year. The iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max phones also received larger sensors, enabling them to take significantly better photos in poor lighting conditions. The aperture of the ultra-wide-angle lens of the iPhone 13 Pro was then improved from f/2,4 (for last year's series) to f/1.8. Both Pro models also offer three times optical zoom.

Film mode

Now we are getting to the most important part, thanks to which this year's "thirteens" managed to gain the attention of most apple growers. We are, of course, talking about the so-called filmmaker mode, which advances the possibilities in the field of video recording by a factor of knowledge. Specifically, this is a mode that, thanks to changes in the depth of field, can conjure up a cinematic effect even in the case of an "ordinary" phone. In practice, it works quite simply. You can have the scene focused on, for example, a person in the foreground, but as soon as that person looks back at the next person behind them, the scene immediately switches to another subject. But as soon as the person in the foreground turns back, the scene focuses on them again. Of course, it doesn't always have to go as you imagine. This is exactly why the scene can be edited retroactively, directly on the iPhone. If you would like to know more about the movie mode, you can read the article attached below.
