lidice
Every corner of the world, every village hides a number of personal human stories. Lidice is no exception in this respect - the central Bohemian village in which the film takes place during the Second World War. The film's protagonist Šíma divides his life between his paralyzed wife, two sons and his lover Maria, but Šíma's older son takes his father's departure hard and after the tragedy he causes while drunk, he is sentenced to four years in prison.
