While in the previous parts of this series we mainly went through action games, adventure games, RPGs and isometric carvings, now we will start with a mixture of several genres. Over the years, a number of great titles have been created for the Apple system, which go beyond their genre and offer a completely unconventional and novel experience. Fortunately, we haven't forgotten about them either, and that's why we're bringing you a mix of 5 not-so-well-known, but hellishly fun canapés that you should give a chance over the weekend or, in the case of a home office, during weekdays.

Anodyne 2: Return to Dust

First, let's take a look at Anodyne 2: Return to Dust, which looks like it's straight out of 2004, but it's still a most remarkable title. The graphic side can be deceiving - Anodyne builds on a huge dream world where almost anything is possible and there are no limits. So you can literally jump through dimensions, dimensions or experiment with mini-games. In short, the developers from Analgesic Productions did not spare ideas, and the story alone suggests that it will not be a standard adventure game. In addition to research, you will be responsible for cleaning the bodies of the inhabitants of the island of New Theland from nanoparticles and saving them from destruction. You play as Nova, a space cleaner whose mission is to save the world and turn it away from darkness. Of course, there will be the possibility to jump from the 3D world to the 2D dimension, which usually appears in the form of a minigame. Either way, this is an interesting game that will entertain and take your breath away with its endless possibilities. So aim for Steam and give Anodyne 2: Return to Dust a chance. All you need is Windows 7, a dual-core processor clocked at 2.5 GHz, GeForce 610M and 6GB of RAM. In the case of a Mac, you can get by with macOS 10.12+ and 4GB of RAM.

A short hike

Another interesting addition is A Short Hike, a retro pixel game where you will explore the peaceful mountains and valleys of a world cut off from civilization. It is more of a meditative affair, which is the exact opposite of the frenetic and action shooters that Epic Games has dealt with more than once. The sole purpose of the game is to search for hidden treasures in nature, explore the surrounding environment and meet other adventurers to talk to. A soundtrack from the workshop of Mark Sparling will play to your step, which will emphasize the atmosphere. So if you are tempted by similar canapés, head to Epic Store and go to the Hawk Peak area for a few crowns. All you need is Windows 7, a dual-core AMD or Intel processor with a clock speed of 2 GHz, an Intel HD 4400 graphics card and 2 GB of RAM. Mac is no different in this case, just make sure you have at least macOS 10.12 and above.

Mutation

And if the previous two original titles didn't interest you either, you can't miss Mutazione. In this remarkable and beautifully painted 2D adventure game, you play as a human female Kai and enter a community of mutants and strange monsters, which you will learn through conversations and search for your grandfather named Nonno. It's up to you to get to know the culture there and extract some information from the residents. Windows 7, a 2.6GHz processor, NVIDIA GeForce 700 series and 2GB of RAM are enough for smooth gaming. If you have a Mac, you need the same equipment, only with macOS 10.12 and higher. If you dare to enter the unconventional world of Mutazione, head to Steam and download the game.

Next up hero

If you have run out of scraps, the isometric dungeon crawler Next Up Hero, where we fight hordes of enemies in the skin of the chosen hero and continue to improve our character, will certainly please you. At first glance, it may seem that this is another ordinary thresher, but under the surface there is a well-developed RPG waiting for you, in which there is no shortage of acquiring new abilities, additional equipment and, above all, crawling through countless dungeons, where not-so-friendly opponents will be waiting for you. So if you prefer more action-packed, but long-lasting titles that will last you a few hours, we recommend heading to Steam and buy the game. Windows 7, Intel Core i3 clocked at 3.4GHz, 8GB RAM and AMD Radeon HD 6850 will be enough for you. In the case of macOS, you can get by with version 10.12 Sierra, Intel Core i5 clocked at 2.7GHz, 8GB RAM and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680M.

Tacoma

If you have a penchant for a somewhat more unconventional and mysterious experience, then you might be interested in the adventure game Tacoma. The game is inspired by a number of similar sci-fi ventures, where you wake up in the role of the main character on an unknown spaceship that is completely abandoned. Of course, you have no idea what happened and you will have to scrutinize every corner. Hot on your heels will be a very special artificial intelligence that commands the vessel and is probably behind the disappearance of most of the staff and workers. So if you want to cut a rather shorter title with a pretty intense atmosphere, head to Steam and get the game. Windows 7, an Intel Core i5 clocked at 1.7GHz, 4GB of RAM and an integrated graphics card with 2GB of memory will suffice.
