Alongside iOS 11.3 and tvOS 4.3, Apple today also released the new tvOS 11.3, which is designed for the fourth and fifth generation Apple TV. The update comes more than three months after the release of the last major tvOS 11.2 update, as well as more than a month of testing between developers and public testers.

The main novelty of tvOS 11.3 was supposed to be support for the AirPlay 2 function, which allowed the Apple TV to be added to the Home application as part of other HomeKit accessories, especially for the ability to control music in several rooms through several Apple TVs. Unfortunately, AirPlay 2 support was removed from tvOS 11.3 in the third beta. The main function of the update is the automatic switching of the image refresh rate for Apple TV 4th generation. The TV application has also been improved, but it is not available in our region.

Owners of the fourth-generation Apple TV and Apple TV 4K can download the update in System -> updates system.
