If the time of the coronavirus, lockdowns and restrictions has taught us anything, it is that a good selection of applications for our smartphones really matters.

Some of them will support our physical health and fitness, others mental well-being, others will be useful for work and achieving goals. Whether we're in for another lockdown or not, let's take a look at the apps you shouldn't miss.

1. Zoom & Teams

If any application has become really necessary, then it is definitely Zoom, or its alternatives, whether we are talking about Microsoft Teams or Google Meet. Not only have they enabled a large number of people to work from home, but even after the coronavirus is a distant memory, these applications will definitely stay with us.

iOS Teams

In many companies, the coronavirus has started a small revolution. The management realized that a lot of activities can be done completely online. Home-office will thus become a far more common phenomenon.

2. Asana & Monday

We will stay with the topic of working from home for a while. The home environment is particularly challenging in that it can negatively affect our productivity. That is why we need to take care to organize our work well. Applications such as Asana or Monday will help us with this.

Both make it possible to keep a good record of what needs to be accomplished in a given day, break down large projects into smaller, manageable parts, or communicate with multiple colleagues. Both applications are even more suitable for managerial work, which they really facilitate.

3. Costlocker

The previous four applications are used for effective communication and project management. In the post-covid era, companies focused on one more area, which is – quite logically – corporate finance. The costlocker application monitors costs, countable and non-countable items and gives the business owner an overall overview of how the activities performed by each employee are profitable. The application has seen a sharp increase in new clients - this is also proof that Czech entrepreneurs need to tame their finances and keep them under control.

4. Cashbot

Another application that has been "trending" in recent months is Cashbot. If you are running a business, this is a must-have application that should definitely not be missing from your phone and business - thanks to a unique combination of financial products, it helps companies balance cashflow by being able to secure financing within 30 minutes. And maybe even from your sources. Through the so-called factoring Cashbot will reimburse you for invoices for which you would otherwise have to wait until they are due.

5. We will give food & Wolt

Let's pour some pure wine, closed restaurants meant for many of us the need to think much more about what we actually eat. And if you're not an experienced home cook, apps like Let's Eat or Wolt are simply a must.

Both applications have expanded their offer during the entire coronavirus period to such an extent that even the most demanding diner can choose.

6. Fitify & Nike Training Club

A good lunch, working from home and closed fitness centers are very bad news for our fitness and physical health. That's why you need to work on them at home, and home exercises are almost impossible to imagine without the right application, especially if you don't have any equipment.

A very good choice is the Czech application Fitify, in which you can find the corresponding exercises and series according to your level. The app called Nike Training Club is also well done.

7. Headspace

Fear for our loved ones, lack of contact, but also the submarine sickness due to home-office can really take a toll on our mental health.

That's why you need to be able to switch off and relax properly. A good method is meditation, but it is not so easy to start with. An application called Headspace can make it easier for you, which will help even a complete layman with meditation.

8. Duolingo

The coronavirus has brought with it a lot of free time that cannot be filled with classic activities. So it would be a shame if we wasted it and didn't use it at least partially for personal growth. Learning a new language can be a good goal.

A properly chosen application, such as for example, can help us in self-study Duolingo . The app brings an element of play and reward to language learning, making learning definitely more fun.

9. Audible & Kindle

We will stay a little longer on personal development. An interesting fact is that the most successful people read an above-average number of books. And the lockdown directly encourages the creation of such a habit. Bookstores are closed, however, so it's easy to use an app. For classic e-books, for example, Amazon's Kindle is suitable, but there are others as well.

An interesting option and a relief for those who really don't like to read are audio books. Audible, for example, allows you to prepare dinner while listening to a good book.

10. Netflix & Hulu & MagellanTV

Closed cinemas directly invite us to create ideal conditions for watching movies or series at home. Fortunately for us, there are countless apps that make this easier for us. They are among the best Netflix or Hulu, but nowadays the choice is really big. If you like documentaries, you can subscribe to MagellanTV, for example, which is an application focused on documentaries.
