TV+ offers original comedies, dramas, thrillers, documentaries and children's shows. However, unlike most other streaming services, the service no longer contains any additional catalog beyond its own creations. Other titles are available for purchase or rental here. Apple released trailers for Strange Planet, The Escape of Carlos Ghosn, and the second Invasion.

A strange planet

Welcome to a distant planet not so different from our own. Here you will find funny and at the same time touching observations about life, love and friendship told in a very personal way. This is the long-awaited adaptation of the New York Times, which was first announced back in 2021. The premiere is planned for August 9, and you can watch the trailer below.

Wanted: The Escape of Carlos Ghosn

The documentary tells the riveting story of Carlos Ghosn, CEO of Michelin North America, Chairman and CEO of Renault, Chairman and CEO of Nissan and Chairman of Mitsubishi Motors, on the run. It describes his time in office, a shocking arrest and a calculated escape that stunned the world. The premiere is on 25/8 and if you want to know more about this person, just check out Wikipedia, where you will also learn about the escape style, which we do not want to completely spoil here.

Invasion

The second wave of Emz attacking the Earth in the Invasion series will not arrive on Apple TV+ until October 22nd, but Apple is already tempting it with an official trailer. The series stands out because the story unfolds in real time from the perspective of five ordinary people from different corners of the planet, trying to somehow survive in the chaos that broke out around them. In the fall, we will find out how the fate of humanity will continue.

The strike halts production at Silo and Foundation

Two of Apple TV+'s biggest series have reportedly been affected by writer and actor strikes in Hollywood, with Silo already axed altogether and the Foundation likely to be affected. Writers Guild of America members have been on strike for three months over pay and conditions, and were joined in July by actors from the Screen Actors Guild, the Federation of Television and Radio Artists of America. Under the terms of the strike, no members of any union can work, that is, except for actors who have an exemption, which simply means that many Sila actors have to take a break, willy-nilly or not. But we will catch it, because we will have to wait even longer for the premieres.
