The manufacturer of gaming accessories SteelSeries on Monday introduced the first wireless game controller for devices with iOS 7. Unlike previously introduced controllers from Logitech a I could it connects to the device via Bluetooth instead of the Lightning connector and is thus universal for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, including older models with a 30-pin connector. After all, the driver can also be used for Mac with OS X 10.9.
Stratus, as the controller from SteelSeries is called, looks like a standard gamepad, which does not have the ergonomics that we can find in controllers for Xbox or Playstation, but it is more compact. The controller uses an extended button layout, so it also includes two analog sticks and two pairs of side buttons. The battery inside the controller lasts for about ten hours of play, while it needs to be charged for two hours. Thanks to Bluetooth, even two players can connect to one device and thus play multiplayer games on one iPad, for example. The LEDs on the device then indicate which player is which.
With Stratus, gamers will have direct access to a growing number of great iPad games that were intended for great experiences with a physical controller. We're extremely excited to be the first accessory company to develop a stand-alone controller for iOS devices, and it's a joy to see the number of high-quality game titles coming out of publishers every day.
Bruce Hawver, SteelSeries CEO
Hopefully the Stratus will be of better quality than the drivers we've seen so far. Neither Logitech nor Moga really impressed the reviewers with their controllers, especially with their processing. The Stratus can be pre-ordered at manufacturer's website priced at $99,99.

I wonder what the game is in the picture.
Riptide GP2.)
Thanks.
I think they did it directly to advertise the game.. Otherwise, finally the controller I was waiting for, and for that price, well, $100 is enough
This is the driver that many people are waiting for, but I think we have to wait for other companies to make it available, since this is still the only bluetooth driver on the market. The game is Riptide GP2 probably.
As for the price, it is determined by Apple, so even in the future I will probably have all controllers costing $100, whether from Razer or GameCase. Moga, for example, makes drivers for Android at half the price. Also, drivers appear slowly, even though Apple has to approve them and manufacturers dance like they whistle when selling in app stores.)
