Po definitive shutdown of Google Reader Feedly has become the most popular service for managing, reading and synchronizing subscribed RSS feeds. The service has so far been completely free unlike some alternatives, which has also helped it gain a large number of users. Feedly has now introduced a paid version of the account. This is not mandatory, Feedly will continue to be used in the same way for free, the Pro version brings several additional functions.

First of all, it is about searching in feeds, which was not available until now. It is possible to search both in the titles and in the texts of the articles. Another premium feature is sharing to Evernote and finally secure browsing using the HTTPS protocol. Premium features will be generally available in the fall, but now the first 5000 interested parties can order the Pro version for life for a one-time fee of $99. For others, it will be available for $5 a month or $45 a year. This makes Feedly the most expensive paid service, Feedbin works out to $3 a month and Feed Wrangler to $19 per year. However, unlike them, it also offers a free version.
