Attracting children to classical folk songs nowadays is not entirely easy. In the age of YouTube, it's clear that kids are interested in something completely different. The exception is just children who, for example, attend an art school or have a relationship with music from an early age. The question remains how to reach others and support their musical sensibilities.

An interesting solution is offered by the company Famiredo and their application Playful songs from fairy tales. It combines several alternative elements that will definitely interest even the smallest children. The application is very intuitive and anyone can use it.

After launch, exactly thirteen well-known fairytale and folk songs are waiting for you. The list includes, for example, We like animals, Grow up bud, When the little beaver goes to sleep, Chnápík, a tiny crocodile or Making.

The child chooses one of the songs offered and also whether it will be sung by a female or a male voice. You can also display a sheet music match or an interactive themed picture. As soon as the song starts playing, the child has a very simple task: listen and tap the flower symbol in rhythm.

Whether the child succeeds in the task can be checked immediately by the drumsticks, which also tap to the rhythm. While playing, you can change the combinations of singers and also select accompaniment in the form of different instruments. At the end of each song, blooming flowers are used to evaluate how well the child managed to catch the rhythm.

During the song, children can also enjoy nice interactive pictures painted by the Czech artist Radek Zmítka.

Playful songs are a very interesting idea and, above all, a method of showing folk songs to children nowadays and developing their musical sensibilities. The application could also be used in schools, whether kindergarten, elementary or art. For a one-time fee four euros will get you all the songs and you are ready to listen.
