Since its announcement, it has been one of the most anticipated films, at least among technology enthusiasts. However, the film about Steve Jobs produced by Sony is accompanied by inconveniences in the form of several rejections of actors for the main roles. However, screenwriter Aaron Sorkin reports that the announcement of the main characters should come soon.

A successful screenwriter whose work viewers can currently watch in the third season of the TV series The Newsroom, spoke about the upcoming film for The Independent. At the end of October already it looked, that the main role is clear and will go to Christian Bale. But in the end, Sorkin came too soon with his statement and negotiations with the Oscar-winning actor shipwrecked.

"It's a 181-page script, and about 100 pages are this one character," explains Sorkin, why Bale ultimately backed out of the film about the Apple co-founder. He simply assessed that the role was too demanding for him. Before Bale, Leonardo DiCaprio also turned down the lead role. He should be the main adept now Michael Fassbender, but Sorkin already refuses to comment. They only say that an official announcement should come soon.

The film, which still has no official title, will be directed by Danny Boyle and will all take place against the backdrop of the introduction of three of Steve Jobs' major products. Aaron Sorkin has now revealed that not only Jobs himself will be an important character in the film, but also his daughter Lisa. Similar to the previous successful work The Social Network about Facebook, Sorkin wanted to focus mainly on the human side of things.

“Both films are much more about people than the technology they invented. IN The Social Network I was interested in the psychology of the world's most successful social network, invented by the world's most antisocial person. In the case of Steve Jobs, it's the relationships he had – specifically with his daughter Lisa – that drew me to it,” explains Sorkin.

Jobs initially denied the paternity of his now thirty-six-year-old daughter, but eventually accepted it, and Lisa lived with her father during her teenage years. "She wasn't involved in the Walter Isaacson book because her father was alive at the time and she didn't want to antagonize either parent, so I was very grateful that she was willing to spend some time with me," revealed Sorkin, who just from the biography of Steve Jobs drew heavily from Isaacson. "She is the heroine of the whole film," added the screenwriter.
