Unusually, we may have learned about two new Apple products from the documents of the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC). The Californian company is apparently preparing new versions of its Magic Mouse and wireless keyboard for both Mac and iPad.

According to information coming directly from the FCC, the new mouse could be called Magic Mouse 2, the wireless keyboard does not yet have a specific name. In the same way, it seems that none of the products should go through a fundamental design change, so it will probably be minor changes at most.

The biggest change will take place in Bluetooth: the current 2.0 standard will be replaced by the modern Bluetooth 4.2, which is faster, safer and above all more energy efficient. Due to the lower demand for consumption, li-ion batteries could appear in the mouse and keyboard instead of the existing AA batteries.

With the Magic Mouse 2, there is also talk that Apple could bet on Force Touch as in the new MacBooks (and probably also in the new iPhone), but the FCC documents do not confirm this yet. The keyboard probably won't see any big changes, but it could get, for example, some special keys for easier control of iPads, which can be connected to Macs as well.

The fact that the FCC documents really point to upcoming news from Apple's workshop is also evidenced by the rapid download of images of the new Magic Mouse, which the California company itself probably requested from the Federal Telecommunications Commission. Now, instead of the mouse drawing, only the product in the shape of a rectangle is visible.

If Apple is going to introduce new accessories in the form of a mouse and keyboard, it could do so already on September 9.
