While yesterday we remembered the introduction of the first iMac or establishment company SpaceX, V today's work of our series on significant events in the history of technology, we will recall one of the first integrated circuit designs. But we also remember the end of the sixties of the last century, when it saw the light of day the first computer game for two players.

One of the first integrated circuit concepts (1952)

British radio engineer Geoffrey Dummer proposed on May 7 of the year 1952 integrated circuit. Unfortunately, at that time it was only about proposal – Dummer's up to a year 1956 failed this circuit produce. First indeed functional solution appeared only in 1957 and was its author Jack kilby from the company Texas Instruments. It was also granted the relevant patent in 1959. Geoffrey William Arnold Dummer was born February 25, 1909 and studied electrical engineering at Manchester College of Technology. In the forties of the last century, for example, he worked in Telecommunications Research Establishment.

The First Two Player Game (1967)

Today we have the opportunity to play games in two or more players seems completely obvious, but it wasn't always like that. TO first run game for two players occurred on May 7 of the year 1967. Game Fox and hounds it was the work of a developer Ralph Baer. A fox in the form of a red dot in the game she was chasing a pack of dogs (white dots), the fox's task was to escape the dogs as long as possible. Fox and Hounds is a variant of the old one desk games, which is played on a 16-square chessboard (see gallery). In this game, the dog pieces can move diagonally forward one square, the fox piece moves diagonally forward or backward one square.
