Today's installment of our regular series on historical events in the field of technology will deal with two big names - Google and Microsoft. We will remember the day when the Google browser was stripped of the "beta" label. In addition, we also recall the release of Windows NT Workstation.

Windows NT Workstation (1994)

Microsoft released Windows NT Workstation and Windows NT Server software on September 21, 1994. These were versions with the numerical designation 3.5, which served as the successor to NT 3.1. At the same time, it was the first version of the Windows NT operating system, which was also released in Server and Workstation variants. The software brought a number of innovations and improvements, but in the end it turned out to be slightly problematic, mainly due to the impossibility of installation on computers with Pentium processors. This bug was fixed by Microsoft in Windows NT 3.5.1 in 1995.
