Claude Shannon was born (1916)

Claude Shannon was born in Gaylord, Michigan. He became famous as inventor and pioneer of information theory. Claude Shannon was also at the same time founder of the theory of the design of digital electrical circuits and in 1948 was the first to introduce linear model of communication. Shannon graduated from the University of Michigan and served as an assistant professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Sasser Infects Computers Worldwide (2004)

April 30 of the year 2004 was released into the world malware called Sasser. This computer worm infected the device with the operating system MS Windows XP and Windows 2000, and used the vulnerable for its spread network ports on the system. Over the next few days, it appeared right away several variants Sasser. According to some original theories Sasser had his origin in Russia, but in the end it was in this context arrested German computer science student Sven Jaschan. Sasser by estimates infected more than a million computers with the Windows operating system worldwide.
