Apple is one of the few companies that can launch its new products in an absolutely spectacular and stylish way. During the presentation of a single product, several employees of the apple company can take turns, with each of them talking, of course, about a different part of the new device. The day before yesterday, at the Apple Event, we saw the presentation of the new HomePod mini, together with four new iPhones - specifically, the iPhone 12 mini, 12, 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max. When presenting the performance, Apple is able to perfectly demonstrate how much the performance of the new processor has changed compared to its predecessor, along with a lot of other information. However, it is unfortunately not traditionally devoted to RAM at all.

The iOS operating system is one of the most optimized operating systems in the world. Thanks to this, Apple does not have to install tens of gigabytes of RAM on its latest flagships, as is the case, for example, with competing devices. It can be said that, compared to the competition, the iOS system needs practically half of the RAM for more than smooth operation. The great optimization of iOS is guaranteed mainly due to the fact that Apple does not have to adapt it to hundreds or thousands of different devices, as in the case of Android, for example. The latest iOS 14 is available on the iPhone 6s and later, which is already a five-year-old device - and still runs really well here. Therefore, if we need to know the size of the RAM after the presentation of the new iPhones, we always have to wait for the performance tests, which usually appear a few hours after the conference. Of course, there are all kinds of speculations, but you can't go by them.

iPhone 12:

So let's take a look together at how many GB of RAM the new iPhones have. As for the iPhone 12 and 12 mini, users can look forward to 4 GB of RAM – for example, all last year's iPhone 11 and 11 Pro (Max) have this RAM. If we look at the flagships in the form of the iPhone 12 Pro (Max), you can look forward to 6 GB of RAM in these devices, which is an increase of a full 2 GB compared to last year's flagships. This information came from the Macrumors server, which managed to get to the beta version of the Xcode 12.1 program, where it was already easy to find out the RAM capacity of the new iPhone 12. It should be noted that this source of information is practically XNUMX% accurate - several times in the past, Xcode has already revealed the RAM size of new devices.
