The prices of non-subsidized phones that can be purchased from Apple have appeared on the website of the Czech Apple Store. While until now it was possible to get an iPhone mainly from operators, this year there is a new player in the game who can significantly shuffle the cards.
Both color variants are available in the Apple Store CZ at the following prices:
- iPhone 4S 16 GB – CZK 14
- iPhone 4S 32 GB – CZK 16
- iPhone 4S 64 GB – CZK 19
The phones will be shipped in 1-2 weeks, which corresponds to the launch date in the Czech Republic – 28/10/2011. In order to reach the majority of customers, orders are limited to two pieces per individual. The phones are not tied to the operator and are not blocked.
But it will be interesting to see what prices the Czech operators will come up with, who for the past two years have tried to sell iPhones as much as the customer was willing to pay. They still offered the iPhone 3G at relatively decent prices, but the price discount for flat-rate paying customers for the iPhone 3GS and 4 was rather ridiculous. For comparison, here is the price table of the unsubsidized iPhone 4 from last year:
Operator/Model |
16 GB
|
32 GB
|
Vodafone |
15 577 $
|
18 477 $
|
T-Mobile |
16 999 $
|
not for sale
|
Telefonica O2 |
17 295 $
|
20 395 $
|
Let's hope that the prices of the Czech Apple Store will force the unfed Czech operators to hold their noses and make them change their pricing policy a little. Finally, why would anyone buy an overpriced phone from their carrier when they can get it cheaper directly from Apple.
Of course, the classic two-year warranty applies to an iPhone purchased in the Czech Republic.
Thanks for the info..
Ordered…. :-) 4S 32GB
Prices are comparable to prices elsewhere. That's only good. I've had the iPhone 4S for almost a week and I'm thrilled with it.
Yuuuuuuuuu!!!! Well, we'll see what the operators come up with, but I'm very positively surprised =)
And when will our famous operators come out with the prices? So far she is sleeping like Sleeping Beauty……
Quite a surprise from the Apple store. The prices are really decent, great compared to pre-orders elsewhere. From big stores: Alza has 17 GB for 16 thousand and mironet even for 19 thousand - crazy. So ordered :-) Just hoping for an early shipment...
Ordered .. white 16GB .. :)
And the operators have fun...:-D
Is it true that the Czech Apple store only has a 1-year warranty? How will complaints then develop?
Apple in the Czech Republic offers a "classic Czech" warranty of two years.
Gussi: yes, there is only one year warranty. Any complaints are resolved by exchanging one piece for another either at service partners or at sellers.
finally someone cut our unseen operators through the claws, big up!
Dan: According to my information, the apple store in the Czech Republic provides a 2-year warranty, otherwise it cannot be, because it would violate the law by its actions.
Orzyi: somewhere I read an explanation of why it is possible that the Apple Online Store CZ only offers a one-year warranty, even though by law it must be for two years... I don't remember the exact reason, but the warranty from the Apple Online Store is really only one year, but that would definitely not deter me from buying! If nothing happens to your device during the first year, then the probability of a later manufacturing defect is already small... perhaps only, for example, a "clicked" button, etc....
I am also joining the club. Ordered 16gb white :)

The warranty is one year in the classic sense of the word (you bring it, if you meet the conditions, they will exchange/repair it for you) and the second with the fact that it is up to you to prove that the manufacturer is responsible for the defect, i.e. get an expert opinion. It's a bit of a loophole, but it's not illegal, because the Czech AppleStore isn't quite Czech when it's based in Ireland and therefore Irish laws apply to it.
2Colpeas: That may not be so true, you are probably drawing on the first published inaccurate information...
1. for an entity that sells its goods within a registered establishment in the Czech Republic, legislation from the Czech Republic applies - i.e. the guarantee according to the Civil Code is 2 years
2. then this entity with a registered establishment in the Czech Republic also deducts domestic VAT from such a purchase (Czech VAT at the basic rate)
Therefore, whoever buys at store.apple.com/cz is entitled to a two-year complaint period, even in the first six months, the seller has an obligation to prove that the defect occurred only afterwards, otherwise it is considered that this defect is from the beginning, i.e. the item is in violation of the purchase contract, which allows the buyer to demand immediate removal of the defect or replacement of the item. For the following 18 months, he is entitled to have the defect removed within a reasonable period of time, if it is a defect that can be removed. In the case of an irreparable defect, the buyer has the right to withdraw, i.e. return the item.
A defect is not automatically equal to mechanical or other damage by the user :D
To guarantee...
I am looking at the terms and conditions listed on the apple store cz and which are decisive in the case of a complaint.
In the 10th paragraph it reads below:
10.1 All new Hardware is subject to a one-year limited warranty against defects in material and workmanship.
right here, but in another paragraph it says below:
10.3 Statutory consumer rights in the Czech Republic
FOR THE CONSUMER, THE ONE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY SET FORTH IN CLAUSE 10.1 ABOVE DOES NOT EXCLUDE, RESTRICT OR SUSPEND ANY RIGHT OF THE CONSUMER ARISING FROM NON-CONFORMITY WITH THE AGREEMENT TO WHICH THE CONSUMER IS ENTITLED UNDER THE LAW OF THE CZECH REPUBLIC, IN PARTICULAR UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF PARAGRAPH 499 40 ACT No. 1964/634 SB., OF THE CIVIL CODE AND ACT No. 1992/XNUMX SB., ON CONSUMER PROTECTION
So, in my opinion, yes, Apple provides a one-year warranty (10.1), but that is not valid for it, and it must recognize the standard Czech two-year warranty, which corresponds to the laws in CR - to which Apple directly refers in the commercial conditions in paragraph 10.3
Apple in the Czech Republic provides a classic and standard warranty - 2 years.
If you buy the goods in the Czech Republic, then a 2-year warranty is valid for you.
Thanks for the clarification.
I buy both white and black
look at the prices of 4 units offered by Ystile http://www.istylecz.cz/webshop/iphone.html and compare with apple 4S prices. I shopped with them last time as well as the operators. But they did well here..
I'm buying a white 4S for my wife and I'll wait for the iPhone5. I am a VAT payer, so after tax deduction it will cost me approx. 11.600, which is already decent :)
How did you subtract 20%? Well, the FÚ will probably be happy with you.
and why shouldn't he? :D
Semtex: Well, you're good, the same phone cost me 12075 without tax, but that's probably because, unlike you, I can count.
hey, I hope that the price will be similar to the svk, I plan to buy the black ones on sale from orange, the 3gs 16gb cost about 2e 300 years ago, maybe the 4gs 32gb won't be much more expensive
and such a small thing, 14205.w5.wedos.net sounds like a malware site to me, so I don't know if you've been attacked or if it's a false alarm - but it certainly doesn't advertise you well...
I agree with the statement that your page contains malicious code NOD32 screams every time it loads…
Exactly the same problem, I confirm.
So too. I don't like Opera and 14205.w5.wedos.net.
I did such a price comparison with the surrounding area. The Czech Republic is the best for the 32GB version and 64GB of the EU countries, and it is in 3rd place from all of Europe

Hi, I would like to note that in Belgium, the iPhone 2 cost less than 4 e for 200 years at a mobista, I wanted to buy it here, but I will wait a week and it will be a 4S, but then I don't know how much. force??? And the operators are going to the ASS!! The Belgian is also about 10,5 million...otherwise I don't see anything that would be different. That is, if I don't take a salary.
Today I looked at Vodafone and with a top-up of 2200 it costs approx. 10400 and with a top-up of 277 for approx. 14800 it's in the e-shop. I think that's really enough!! Does anyone have any other information??
Well, if the full price for the 16 GB version is CZK 16, that's enough.
Nice afternoon, it's Thursday and I'm looking at our clever operators. The only one who put the price of the iPhone 4S on the website is Vodafone, right?? You don't know the prices elsewhere?? I mean O2 and Tmobile?? Mainly because you guys are debating about it on Facebook. Thanks for the answers
Ordered from apple store 16gb black from 1.11. :) I hope it comes as soon as possible :)
And please, when I register in itunes and enter my credit card, I don't pay anything, something like a membership fee or something? Thank you:)
