The advantage of video game worlds is the fact that you can experience things in them that you could not otherwise experience in the real world under any circumstances. In addition to mediating the Normandy landings through the eyes of the soldiers themselves or saving the universe in the shoes of a brave commander, there are, for example, sports that simply could not work in our reality. The ranks of such projects are now being joined by a jerky mix of football and kung fu KungFu Kickball, which is finally being released on macOS in its full version.

As the name of the game suggests, you will try to transport the ball to the opponent's half strictly using kung fu punches. With the additional help of mystical powers, you then have to ring the opponent's bell with the ball. At the same time, all of this takes place in two dimensions, which will remind you of the fighting games of years long ago. Unlike them, however, in KungFu Kickball you have much more freedom of movement. In addition, each of the six available characters has a completely distinctive play style.

The basic character of the game is a monk, which offers a balanced gaming experience. However, by playing as an old master, you can trade the speed of younger fighters for the perfection of his polished strikes. You don't have to fight for the ball in the game with computer-controlled opponents, but even with up to four real players in local or online multiplayer.
