When building new positive habits, as well as during the process of unlearning established and bad ones, a helper is always useful. Not only a living being with whom you would share your determination, but also perhaps an application with which you can track your (failures).

We can find dozens of tools in the App Store that help people with resolutions, but generally with a weak will. The principles are more or less identical, the only differences between them are the controls and the price. I tried many of them, unfortunately it seems to be a general rule that the program should lead with its functionality, at the (painful) expense of the user interface.

But there are exceptions. Such R by Stoefller.cc very well combines simplicity with likability without ceasing to be truly useful. As the picture suggests, we have a practically unlimited possibility to list as many items in the application window as we intend to have under supervision. Everything looks like a note paper with lines, but compared to a paper solution, there is no need to calculate anything - the statistics are of course done by themselves.

Items can be of two types - either a "tick" habit or one where the digit will play an important role. For example, I decided to more sensitively monitor the number of e-mail checks, including social networks - whenever I visited this or that, in the window next to the item (checking email, checking social networks) I modified the digit. If you are sometimes naughty and weak-willed, this method can help you to reduce. You don't want to watch your stats grow!

This way you can record the number of kilometers traveled, your weight, etc.

With the "tick" box, you confirm (one tap) or deny (double tap) the habit. I wrote, for example procrastination and I ticked it whenever I significantly postponed my plans that day, next to the item daily for me, a positive tick or a negative double tick (crosses) indicated whether I did at least a short "soul wash" through words that day.

I like the graphical interface because you don't get lost in the app. The right part is in the foreground and takes up half the display - no less. The left part is kind of behind it and you can scroll it to see different days in the past. Click on an item (habit) to display a graph. If you are entering numbers, you see two axes. While one shows the data, the other (vertical) the numerical values ​​just entered (e.g. weight).

The graph for the second type of items is in the form of familiar pies - and in short you watch for vs. against (green vs. red color). Fast and efficient.

The data can be exported (csv) and sent by e-mail, after which the settings only allow you to insert reminders. In order for you to get an idea of ​​how you are doing with your habits, at least for some time - I don't think you can last long - this is more than enough.

You can try the application in its Lite version, or spend €1,59 for it and not be limited by the number of items.
