The iPhone had a problem in early 2011. The alarm clock did not work correctly. It was very unpleasant, especially if we needed him to wake us up - and he didn't even beep. According to messages on the world network Twitter, it seems that the problem has returned.
It's been three days since the server was mentioned engadget about a certain group of people with a new problem. This time it is not a problem with the alarm clock as such, but rather a mysterious behavior of the phone when changing the time from winter to summer. This transition took place in certain cases and the clocks moved forward an hour, but by morning they would revert back to the old time, causing late wake-ups.
We will see how the iPhone behaves in our conditions when this transition awaits us next week. I ran a few simple tests and my iPhone passed. This involved moving the time manually to 27/3 and then 28/3 and testing all alarm options (without repetition, every day, only on weekdays or only on the weekend). All went well and the iPhone worked correctly.
I then set the time for Saturday 27/3 at roughly 1:30 am and waited to see how the phone would behave. I set the alarms to "morning" again and waited. After half an hour, the iPhone correctly moved to the new time, i.e. T+1 hour, and the alarms rang and worked correctly.
Personally, I think the problem will be somewhere in the automatic time correction settings. Unfortunately I don't test that. Therefore, for everyone who needs an alarm to wake them up on Sunday, I advise you to either set two alarms, one for the ringing time and one an hour earlier. However, this is not very practical.
The second advice is more elegant, but more "complicated". Simply switch the clock from automatic to "manual". It moves the clock by itself and should work (I tried it on an iPhone 4, iOS 4.3 without jailbreak). Go to Settings->General->Date and Time. Automatic setting (second item), switch to position off. Enter your time zone at Prague and set the correct time. See attached screenshots. Then you should avoid this problem.
Click on In general, the following screen will appear.
Scroll down the screen and select the date and time.
Turn off Set automatically
Click on the time zone and type in the search box Prague and confirm. The settings are shown in the following figure. After selecting the time zone, click on Set date and time.
Here you already set the current time and everything should be fine.
I really hope that Apple fixes this bug as soon as possible. I also haven't been able to figure out which iOS versions harbor this random bug. We'll see in a week. Let's hope that your loved one will not be a victim of this mistake.

For God's sake, learn Czech!! There is no dot after "see", that is the material of the third grade of elementary school! It is a verb in the imperative mood. god…
… really, for God's sake!!! … :-D :-D :-D :-D
And don't you know that there is only one exclamation mark and that "v" should not be at the end of a line? ;-)))))
For God's sake, learn to distinguish the essential from the unimportant. This is a fundamental feature of intelligence. Mr. Talkative Honzo.
The "v" at the end of the line hardly affects :-)
Of course it can influence. Just insert a non-breaking space using the HTML entity:
Feel free to take me for a joke, but I find it really outrageous how some brainless person with an obviously incomplete elementary school constantly thinks that "viz" is an abbreviation.
Jeníčka, take a cold shower, if you don't like the form and content, don't read it.
:-D Again, I had more fun in the discussion than in the article. :D
Note: Let someone watch over our literary Czech and remind us of the basics of spelling, it will still be useful for some in life, however, it is not necessary to invoke the Lord God and do it in such an aggressive way. It should only be mentioned as a note and politely presented. Then no one will get angry and the discussion under the article may take the right direction.
Even if it's not bad for fun, at least it takes you out of the gray of everyday life. :D
Note:
God is calling. .. yawns when tired :-).
Thanks for the kick, you're right. ;-)
:D
I have nothing to add ..
BTW: the author of the article, Petr Sourek, is this a joke? ;-)
Definitely better than yours, Vilém Kundxicht..
Personal name, very easy to remember...especially ladies I remember it :)
Thanks for correcting my spelling. Of course, it should not be built. I won't apologize. I'm still learning and will work on better control.
Does Vodafone's automatic time setting work? I tried to keep it on at T-Mobile for some time and the clocks happily diverged... :)
I don't have a problem with them, to be precise - I never overslept and I always arrived on time, so I guess it works.
So I can confirm that the problem with the time persists...in the evening the shift went fine but now the phone has gone back an hour.
Please, what operator do you have? I don't want to throw a spin, but given that the problem was with AT&T, if I'm not mistaken, I would bet on O2 or am I wrong?
iPhone 4 (ios 4.3 still) without problems
iphone 3gs (ios 4.2 still) no problem
both vodafone

good morning, I have a problem too, today, when the alarm clock was supposed to wake me up, the time went back an hour! Quite unpleasant, I fell asleep at work. iPhone 4
I have an iPhone 4.1 type, Vodafone operator. My time set fine yesterday and is still set correctly. But this morning my alarm clock woke me up an hour early. Very confused mobile. It helps to set your alarm an hour later than you want to wake up. Hopefully there won't be another betrayal, that time would somehow move again. Is there already a software update to fix this issue? Thanks for your answer.
Good day everyone
Unfortunately, I still have problems with stimulation. I use an iPod touch, and even though the clock was reset correctly, the alarm clock forgot about it, so I woke up an hour later :)
