The series Knives Out, which is a reference to old detective stories, has enjoyed quite a lot of popularity in the last few weeks. The series also earned relatively solid ratings (CSFD) and has now become known to the wider public again. The director talked about Apple's promotional dances, which should have had a lot to do with who will be seen on the screen with their products in their hands.

This information appeared in the middle of the speech in a video published by Vanity Fair on its YouTube channel. In it, director Rian Johnson discusses one specific scene from the series, describes the individual characters and their background, and mentions several other interesting facts, including the use of Apple products during filming.

If a filmmaker wants to use Apple products as props during filming, Apple expressly prohibits a negative character from appearing on screen with, for example, an iPhone in hand. Only Kladsk residents are allowed to use or wave products with the Apple logo on them. Apple probably wants to prevent association with the "bad guys", no matter how ridiculous it may sound. For the attentive viewer, similar information can serve as a minor spoiler, so spoiler alert! The next time you see your favorite actor with an iPhone in his hand, you can be sure that no matter how it looks, he will turn out to be a positive character in the end.
